Testament (album)
''Testament'' is the fifth album by English girl group All Saints (group), All Saints. It was released on 27 July 2018 through AS Recordings, the group's independent record label. The album was preceded by the release of the singles "Love Lasts Forever (All Saints song), Love Lasts Forever" and "After All (All Saints song), After All". It debuted at number 15 on the UK Albums Chart and received generally favourable reviews from music critics upon release. Background and development Following a hiatus of nearly 10 years, All Saints released their fourth album ''Red Flag (album), Red Flag'' in April 2016. It received generally positive reviews from music critics and entered the UK Albums Chart at number three. All Saints (group)
All Saints are an English girl group formed in London in 1993. They were founded as All Saints 1.9.7.5 by music manager Ron Tom, who later also founded Sugababes, with members Melanie Blatt, Shaznay Lewis, and Simone Rainford. The group struggled to find commercial success upon being signed to ZTT Records and were dropped by the label shortly after Rainford left the group. In 1996, the group were joined by Canadian-born sisters Nicole Appleton, Nicole and Natalie Appleton and signed to London Records under their shortened name. Part of the 1990s wave of British girl groups, their debut album, ''All Saints (All Saints album), All Saints'' (1997), peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart and went on to become the UK's List of best-selling girl groups#United Kingdom 2, third-best-selling girl group album of all time. Tricia Marie "Shaznay" Lewis (born 14 October 1975) is an English singer, songwriter and a member of the girl group All Saints. She has co-written most of the group's songs, including number one singles: "Bootie Call", "Pure Shores" and international hit single " Never Ever". Lewis launched a solo career in 2004 with her debut solo album, ''Open'', and singles "Never Felt Like This Before" and "You". "Bennie and the Jets" (also titled "Benny & the Jets") is a song written by English musician Elton John and songwriter Bernie Taupin, and performed by John. The song first appeared on the ''Goodbye Yellow Brick Road'' album in 1973. "Bennie and the Jets" has been one of John's most popular songs and was performed during his appearance at Live Aid. Thebe Neruda Kgositsile (born February 24, 1994), also known by his stage name Earl Sweatshirt, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer. Kgositsile was originally known by the moniker Sly Tendencies when he began rapping in 2008, but soon changed his name when Tyler, the Creator invited him to join his alternative hip hop collective Odd Future in late 2009. Melanie Ruth Blatt (born 25 March 1975) is an English singer. She rose to fame in 1997 as a member of the girl group All Saints. The group have gained five number one singles, two multi-platinum albums, two BRIT Awards and have sold over 10 million records worldwide.
