Tess Wester
Tess Lieder (''née'' Wester, born 19 May 1993) is a Dutch handballer who plays as goalkeeper for the Dutch national team. A full international with the Dutch national team since 2012, she won the silver medal in the 2015 World Women's Handball Championship with the Dutch team and became the goalkeeper with the highest percentage of saves in the tournament. Wester also reached fourth place with the Dutch team in the 2016 Summer Olympics. Career Wester started her career in 1999 at Hugo Girls, at the age of 5–6. In her youth career she also played for VZV and HandbalAcademie. She played in the EHF Champions League with VOC Amsterdam in the 2008–09 season. Wester played in E&O Emmen since 2010 until 2011. In 2011, she was signed for German club VfL Oldenburg, playing in the club until 2015 winning the German Cup in 2012. Wester was signed for Bundesliga club SG BBM Bietigheim. Heerhugowaard
Heerhugowaard (; West Frisian Dutch: ''Heerhugoweard'', ''Heregeweard'' or ''De Weard'') is a city in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland and the region of West Friesland. Heerhugowaard was previously a municipality, which merged with the former municipality of Langedijk into the new municipality of Dijk en Waard on 1 January 2022. History Around the year 800, the area of the modern municipality of Heerhugowaard was covered in peat fen. Because of peat-digging and storm floods many lakes developed in the region, including the Heerhugowaard. The name is derived from lord ('heer' in Dutch) Hugo van Assendelft who was killed by the West Frisians in this area in 1296. After two storms in 1248, the abbey of Egmond, which had much property in this region, built the ''Schagerdam'' at Schagen. Romania Women's National Handball Team
The Romanian women's national team represents Romania in senior women's international handball and is controlled by the Romanian Handball Federation, the governing body for handball in Romania. It competes in the three major international tournaments; the Olympic Games, the IHF World Championship and the EHF European Championship. Since first entering World Championship, Romania are the only team to have appeared in all 25 tournaments to date. The Men's EHF Champions League is the most important club handball competition for men's teams in Europe and involves the leading teams from the top European nations. The competition is organised every year by EHF. The official name for the men's competition is the EHF Champions League Men.
