Tess Gerrand
Tess Gerrand (born 19 February 1988) is an Australian former national representative rower. She is a national champion, an Olympian who competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics, was a competitor at the 2013 World Rowing Championships and a medallist at World Rowing Cups in 2013. Personal Gerrand was born on 19 February 1988 in Sandringham, Victoria. She competed at tall and weighed . She attended Cundletown Primary School before Taree High School and finished at Pymble Ladies College. From 2006 to 2010, she attended Yale University, where she earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in economics. From 2012, she lived in Johns River, New South Wales. Varsity, club and state rowing While studying in the USA she rowed for Yale University. As a member of the Yale eight, she won the NCAA Championships in 2007, 2008 and 2010. Sydney Rowing Club
Sydney Rowing Club is the oldest rowing club in New South Wales, Australia formed in 1870. It has occupied its current site on Port Jackson's Parramatta River at Abbotsford Point since 1874. The club has a focus on its high performance and elite rowing programs and as of the 2021 Olympic Games, sixty-eight rowers from the club had competed at the Olympic Games rowing in one hundred and two of the seats raced by Australian Olympic crews. Over one hundred club members have achieved national selection. Rowing is the act of propelling a human-powered watercraft using the sweeping motions of oars to displace water and generate reactional propulsion. Katrina Bateman
Katrina Bateman (born 8 September 1992) is an Australian former representative rower. She is a ten-time Australian national champion, winning four national titles in the single year of 2015 and rowing in successful Victorian Queen's Cup crews for six consecutive years from 2011-2016. She was twice a medallist at underage world championships and has won gold, silver and bronze medals at World Rowing Cups between 2013 and 2019. Club and state rowing Bateman's senior club rowing has been from the Mercantile Rowing Club in Melbourne. She is the older sister of Amanda Bateman who is also an elite rower who has competed for Mercantile, her state of Victoria and Australia. Her state representative debut for Victoria came in 2011 in the senior women's eight which contested and won the Queen's Cup at the Interstate Regatta.
