Terry-Thomas (born Thomas Terry Hoar Stevens; 10 July 19118 January 1990) was an English character actor and comedian who became internationally known through his films during the 1950s and 1960s. He often portrayed disreputable members of the Social structure of the United Kingdom#Upper class, upper classes, especially wikt:cad, cads, toffs and wikt:bounder, bounders, using his distinctive voice; his costume and props tended to include a monocle, waistcoat and cigarette holder. His striking dress sense was set off by a Diastema (dentistry), gap between his Maxillary central incisor, two upper front teeth. Born in London, Terry-Thomas made his film debut, uncredited, in ''The Private Life of Henry VIII'' (1933). He spent several years appearing in smaller roles, before wartime service with Entertainments National Service Association (ENSA) and Stars in Battledress. Terry Thomas (August 20, 1953 – October 26, 1998) was an American National Basketball Association (NBA) player. At 6'8" and 220 lbs, he played as a forward. He was born in Michigan in 1953, graduated from Hazel Park High School, and went to the University of Detroit Mercy. He was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the 1975 NBA Draft The 1975 NBA draft was the 29th annual draft of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The draft was held on May 29, 1975, before the 1975–76 season. Terence James Thomas, Baron Thomas of Macclesfield, (19 October 1937 – 1 July 2018) was a British politician and banker, member of the Labour and Co-operative parties. Career Thomas was a pupil at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Carmarthen, where his father (William Emrys Thomas 1911–1993) was a transport manager and his mother (Mildred Evelyn née James) ran a greengrocery. He did his national service in the army, serving at Shrapnel Barracks in Woolwich, south east London. He then joined the National Provincial Bank. Thomas joined the Co-operative Bank in 1973 as marketing manager. He served as chief executive of the bank for nine years, before retiring in the late 1990s. He suffered a stroke in 1999; in his 2010 autobiography, he says this was caused by a hole in the heart of which he had been unaware. Terry Thomas (Terence James Thomas) is an English singer-songwriter and guitarist, best known as the founding member, lead singer and lead guitarist of the English rock band Charlie. Biography Thomas founded Charlie in 1971 and remained the only constant member, although his role as lead singer was taken instead by Terry Slesser for the band's 1983 album ''Charlie''. The 2009 album ''Kitchens of Distinction'', the first recording credited to Charlie in over twenty years, was largely a Thomas solo album, but was credited to Charlie due to contributions by former members Julian Colbeck and Martin Smith.
