Terry McDermott
Terence McDermott (born 8 December 1951) is an English former football midfielder who was a member of the Liverpool team of the 1970s and early 1980s, in which he won three European Cups and five First Division titles. He was capped 25 times for England, and has had an extensive coaching career with Newcastle United (twice), Huddersfield Town and more recently, as assistant manager of Birmingham City. Playing career Early career McDermott joined Bury as a youngster in 1969. He made a total of 90 appearances and eight goals before joining Newcastle United in 1973. Manager Joe Harvey gave McDermott his Newcastle debut on 17 March 1973, at Old Trafford against Manchester United. He came off the bench but could not do anything to prevent Newcastle losing 2–1. McDermott reached the FA Cup Final in 1974 against Liverpool. However, Newcastle lost the match 3–0. Terry McDermott (1928 - 14 December 2018) was an Australian stage, radio and television actor known for his roles in the series '' Homicide'' and '' Bellbird''. Career McDermott played Detective Sergeant Frank Bronson, one of three main characters, in the Crawford Productions police series ''Homicide'' from its 1964 debut until 1966. He left the show due to a disagreement over contracts and concerns about performing his own stunts. His character was killed in Episode 58. In 1969, he joined the cast of the soap opera Bellbird, remaining with the series until 1973. McDermott and fellow cast member Gary Gray produced '' Country Town'', a film based on the series. McDermott also performed in guest roles in several other Australian series, including ''Barrier Reef'', ''Division 4'', '' Ryan'', '' Special Squad'', ''Matlock Police'', '' Neighbours'', ''Cop Shop'', ''Prisoner'', ''Holiday Island'' and '' Skyways''. Terrance Michael McDermott (born March 20, 1951) is a former first baseman in Major League Baseball. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 1st round of the 1969 MLB Draft and played in nine games for them during the 1972 baseball season. Following his playing days, McDermott was a popular sports broadcaster in Albuquerque at KGGM-TV from 1980 to 1985 and then KOAT-TV KOAT-TV (channel 7) is a television station in Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States, affiliated with ABC. Terry McDermott is a journalist who served as a national correspondent with the Los Angeles Times and is author of ''Perfect Soldiers: The 9/11 Hijackers, Who They Were, Why They Did It'', an investigative non-fiction book profiling the hijackers of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks as well as the Al-Qaeda leaders who planned and orchestrated the attacks. Terry McDermott (born 6 August 1977) is a Scottish-born American recording artist. He has been part of a number of bands including Driveblind in the UK, and Lotus Crush in the US. In 2012, he came to prominence as the runner-up of the The Voice (U.S. season 3), third season of the The Voice (U.S. TV series), American version of ''The Voice (TV series), The Voice''. Career McDermott became a singer in the Aberdeen-based Driveblind that was founded as a collaboration and two-piece singer-songwriter partnership between McDermott on vocals and Nick Tyler on lead guitar.
