Terry Kennedy (baseball)
Terrence Edward Kennedy (born June 4, 1956) is a former All-Star Major League Baseball catcher who played for the St. Louis Cardinals (1978–80), San Diego Padres (1981–86), Baltimore Orioles (1987–88) and San Francisco Giants (1989–91). Kennedy batted left-handed and threw right-handed. He is the son of former major league player and manager Bob Kennedy. Early life Born in Euclid, Ohio, Kennedy attended St. Mary's High School (Phoenix, Arizona) before playing college baseball at Florida State University. He was a two-time All-American and Sporting News College Player of the Year in 1976. Kennedy was inducted into the FSU Athletics Hall of Fame in 1982. Career In a 14-year major league career, Kennedy hit .264 with 113 home runs and 628 RBI in 1491 games. Kennedy tied Johnny Bench's NL mark of 40 doubles in a season in 1982. Terry M. Kennedy is a Democratic Party politician, journalist, historian, human rights activist and former teacher assistant in St. Louis, Missouri. Kennedy was a long-term elected official of the Board of Aldermen representing D-18th ward of the city's central corridor. As the chair of the powerful Public Safety Committee (PSC), Ald. Terry Kennedy (born ), sometimes referred to by his nicknames "TK" or "Compton-Ass Terry", is an American former professional skateboarder. He was sponsored by Baker Skateboards and Pharrell's Billionaire Boys Club. He is the co-founder of Fly Society, a clothing and music brand. Personal life Shooting In June 2005, Kennedy was shot twice while leaving a party in Long Beach; once in the forearm and once in the jaw. He later recovered. Murder charge Kennedy was arrested on July 27, 2021, at a motel in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, for the assault and subsequent death of fellow skateboarder Josiah Kassahun. Kennedy was charged with murder in the first degree. Kennedy was acquitted of the murder charge on December 2, 2022, but he was convicted of two counts of aggravated battery. Terry Kennedy (born 14 November 1993) is an English former professional footballer who last played as a defender for Guiseley. Born in Barnsley, he spent time at his hometown club as a junior before making the switch to Sheffield United. Career Kennedy made his début for the Blades in May 2011, coming on as a substitute in the last game of the 2010–11 season against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium. Much was expected of Kennedy heading into his second season as a professional with the Blades, but due to a recurring knee problem he missed the majority of the campaign and didn't make a single appearance. Kennedy is best known for completing the Melbourne marathon and Melbourne Ironman less than 9 months after a near fatal stroke and heart attack. Terence Joseph Kennedy (born 19 October 1954) is an Irish former rugby union international. A St Mary's College product, Kennedy was a winger known as "the Rat" who played for Leinster at provincial level and earned 13 Test caps for Ireland, debuting against the All Blacks at Lansdowne Road in 1978.
