Terrorfakt
Terrorfakt is an industrial-power noise musical project from New York City, and created in response to the events of September 11, 2001. They are currently signed to Metropolis Records. Although the project involved multiple members in its early days, it is now the de facto solo project of Benjamin Vincent Dewalt (who also works under the names DJ Hellraver, and T-Faktor). Having produced earlier albums, in 2003 they debuted on Tinman Records with ''Deconstruction''. Prior to the Tinman Records release, a different version of ''Deconstruction'' was released on CD-R independently. In 2004, Terrorfakt signed to Metropolis Records and released "Cold Steel World" and its follow-up remix album ''Cold World Remixes''. In 2006 "Teethgrinder" was released on Metropolis Records, followed by 2009's ''Re/Evolution'', which featured re-mastered versions of select tracks from ''Deconstruction'', "Reconstruction" and some new and unreleased tracks. Caustic (band)
Caustic is an American industrial band based out of Madison, Wisconsin, United States, created in 2002 by DJ Matt Fanale (AKA Eurotic), who is the sole consistent member. The band's live lineup varies quite a bit, largely depending on the location of the show. Caustic's lyrics are typically humorous, while the music itself ranges between older styled industrial and more modern styled powernoise. Caustic has performed live at a number of international industrial music festivals, including the 2005 and 2006 Providence Industrial Festival and the 2006 Blacksun, Reverence, Indoctrination, and the UK's Infest Festival in 2007. Background History Originally the debut album, '' Unicorns, Kittens, and Shit'', was supposed to be released by Static Sky Records in early 2006, but due to production issues surrounding the CD liner notes, the release of the album was pushed back until summer 2006. Imperative Reaction is an American electro-industrial band founded in 1996 by Ted Phelps and David Andrecht from the remains of the band Digital Neural Assault. History A demo tape titled ''Debris'' was originally released in 1996, but was eventually recalled and destroyed as the band chose to go a different direction. The band's next effort, a demo entitled ''Persistence of Memory'', featured the track "Predicate", which was included on Possessive Blindfold car Recordings compilation album ''Exoskeleton Vol. 1''. The band's first studio album, ''Eulogy For The Sick Child'', was released in February 1999. The next month, it had reached the top ten of CMJ's (RPM) charts. The popularity of the album in the United States caused Zoth Ommog Records to pick it up for European distribution in April 1999. Power noise (also known as rhythmic noise and occasionally as distorted beat music) is a form of industrial music and a fusion of noise music and various styles of electronic dance music. It should not be confused with "power electronics", which is not influenced by electronic dance music and is closer to harsh noise. Its origins are predominantly European. Interface (band)
Interface is an electronic music group based on Long Island, New York. It was founded in 1993 by Eric Eldredge (keyboards, sequences, and vocals). Its career has been lined with a steady output of songs and dance remixes for other artists and several lineup shifts. Each of its three albums to date display a blend of various styles of electronic music, most notably trance, synthpop, electro-industrial and aggrotech, with a strong sense of melody and songwriting. Band history The project became a serious entity when Eldredge left another group, Valve, in 1997. The band's inaugural lineup also included Joseph Destry (guitar, vocals) and Mike Cummings a/k/a DJ ANGZTEK (drums). In total Interface released four demo tapes between 1993 and 1998, with little interest from record labels or the music press. The GSI C/A/T (Computer Assisted Typesetter) is a phototypesetter developed by Graphic Systems in 1972. This phototypesetter, along with troff software for UNIX, revolutionized the typesetting and document printing industry. Phototypesetting is most often used with offset printing technology. The GSI C/A/T phototypesetter was marketed by Singer Corporation in 1974 before the company was purchased by Wang Laboratories in 1978. Erica Dunham, better known by her stage name Unter Null, founded the solo aggrotech music project in 1998 at the age of 17, while living in Seattle, United States. , she is based in Portland, Oregon. Dunham is trained in Classical Piano, Cello and Guitar. History Unter Null (German for 'below zero') initially began as a powernoise project influenced by a number of similar prominent artists, including Noisex, Converter and P.A.L.
