Tanio Boccia
Camillo Tanio Boccia (15 June 1911 – 12 March 1982), was an Italian film director and screenwriter active between the 1950s and the early 1970s. From 1960 onwards, he was regularly credited as Amerigo Anton. Career Born in Potenza, Basilicata, he started as a dancer and choreographer in Rome in the 1930s, later moving on to act in regional, dialectal stage plays. He had a small role in ''Variety Lights'' (1951) by Alberto Lattuada and Federico Fellini, his first and sole performance as a film actor. Boccia directed 20 low-budget films in his career. He is best known for his work in the adventure film genre, particularly peplum, in the early 1960s with films such as '' Caesar the Conqueror'' (1962), '' Samson Against the Pirates'' (1963) and ''Hercules of the Desert ''(1964). Ugo Sasso, born Domenico Pasquale Giuseppe Sasso (23 March 1910 - 21 July 1981), was an Italian film and television actor. Life and career Born in Turin, in the early 1930s Sasso moved to Rome to attend the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. He made his film debut in 1934, in Alessandro Blasetti's '' The Old Guard'', and until his retirement in 1973 he appeared in over 100 films, sometimes in main roles. Attilio Dottesio (16 July 1909 – 12 February 1989) was an Italian film character actor and singer. He appeared in 170 films between 1940 and 1985. Born in Brescia, Dottesio began his career in France, where first he obtained some success as a pop singer and later debuted as an actor in the film ''The Pearls of the Crown'' directed by Sacha Guitry. Back in Italy, he attended the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, then he began an intense career as a character actor. His first Italian film was ''La peccatrice'' by Amleto Palermi (1940). In 1955, he had his only experience as a director, with the documentary film ''Amazzonia terra sconosciuta''. Giulio Donnini (born 17 February 1924) is an Italian film actor. Life and career Born in Milan, Donnini made his film debut in 1946, in Giacomo Gentilomo's ''Teheran''. He got his first mayor role two years later, playing the epileptic murderer Smerdjakov in Gentilomo's ''The Brothers Karamazov''.
