Terrier Search Engine
The Terrier IR Platform is a modular open source software for the rapid development of large-scale information retrieval applications. Terrier was developed by members of thInformation Retrieval Research Group Department of Computing Science, at the University of Glasgow. A core version of Terrier is available as open source software under the Mozilla Public License (MPL), with the aim to facilitate experimentation and research in the wider information retrieval community. The Mozilla Public License (MPL) is a free and open-source weak copyleft license for most Mozilla Foundation software such as Firefox and Thunderbird The MPL license is developed and maintained by Mozilla, which seeks to balance the concerns of both open-source and proprietary developers; it is distinguished from others as a middle ground between the permissive software BSD-style licenses and the General Public License.
