Terrible Records
Terrible (formerly Terrible Records) is a Los Angeles-based record label and artist management company founded by Chris Taylor and Ethan Silverman in 2009. Originally based in Brooklyn, New York, the label operated as a joint venture imprint of XL Recordings and Beggars Group respectively. It was distributed by Universal Music Group. After a short stint as a imprint with Interscope, Terrible records is now distributed Independently via Stem Distribution. Over the past 4 years Ethan Silverman's focus shifted toward management. His current management roster includes Claud, Sir Chloe, Petey, The Hellp, Exum, The Slaps, Mila Degray, Kali, Liam Benzvi and more. The label was created in an attempt to spend more time working with and giving exposure to upcoming artists through the release of a number of 7" and 10" EPs. Solange Knowles
Solange Piaget Knowles (; born June 24, 1986) is an American singer, songwriter, performance artist, and actress. Expressing an interest in music from an early age, Knowles had several temporary stints as a backup dancer for Destiny's Child, which featured her elder sister, Beyoncé Knowles, among its members, before signing with her father Mathew Knowles's Music World Entertainment label. Caroline Elizabeth Polachek (born June 20, 1985) is an American singer, producer and songwriter. Raised in Connecticut, Polachek co-founded the indie pop band Chairlift while studying at the University of Colorado. The duo emerged from the late-2000s Brooklyn music scene with the sleeper hit "Bruises". During her time in the band, she worked on the solo projects Ramona Lisa and CEP before embarking on a career under her own name after Chairlift's disbandment in 2017. Kindness is the solo project of English singer Adam Bainbridge. History In 2007, Adam Bainbridge was a recipient of the Eric James Johnson Memorial Fellowship, at The Philadelphia Institute for Advance Study. ''Live in Philly'' was released in 2007 as a free MP3 download and CDr, with no label. In 2009, Moshi Moshi Records released Kindness debut single ''Swingin’ Party''. ''Gee Up'' was included on the vinyl b-side and a VHS video directed by Jack Latham accompanied it. Del Water Gap (band)
Samuel Holden Jaffe, known professionally as Del Water Gap, is an American musician and record producer based in Brooklyn, New York. Career Jaffe is from Sharon, Connecticut. While at boarding school in Millbrook, New York, Jaffe first recorded as Del Water Gap. The name was inspired by the Delaware Water Gap. He later attended the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU to study music and sound production. Band membership changed often as Jaffe entered college. There, he connected with Maggie Rogers, who played in the first incarnation of Del Water Gap. She was in the band for six months. Chairlift (band)
Chairlift was an American synth-pop band. Caroline Polachek and Aaron Pfenning formed Chairlift in 2005 while living in Boulder, Colorado, and Patrick Wimberly joined them when they moved to Brooklyn in 2007. In 2008, Chairlift released their debut album '' Does You Inspire You''. Pfenning left the band in 2010, and as a duo, Polachek and Wimberly released two more albums: 2012's ''Something'' and 2016's ''Moth'' before announcing the end of Chairlift in December 2016.
