Miguel Zacarías Nogaim (19 March 1905 – 20 April 2006) was a Mexican film director, producer, and writer. Career Zacarías began directing for film in 1933. Even from his early career he developed a reputation for recognizing new acting talent; he promoted the careers of the some of Mexico's most notable actors including Pedro Armendáriz in ''Rosario'' (1935), María Félix, Marga López, Esther Fernández, Pedro Infante, Tin Tan, Cantinflas, and Manuel Medel. Friedrich Rosenthal (20 July 1885 in Vienna - 21 August 1942 at the Auschwitz concentration camp) was an Austrian director and playwright. Life and work Rosenthal was a theatre historian, playwright and director. He worked both for the theatre and for silent film. From 1910 to 1912 he worked as a playwright at the National Theatre in Mannheim, and was obliged to work from 1913-1929 as a playwright and director at the Volktheater in Vienna. There he staged particularly German classics and folk pieces. In 1920 he founded the first national touring company in Austria. From 1927 to 1931 he was a lecturer of history of the performing arts at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna. Mario Gallo
Mario Gallo (July 31, 1878 – October 2, 1945) was an Italian-born, Argentine film director of the 1900s and 1910s and one of the early directors in the cinema of Argentina. He directed what is nowadays considered the country's first fiction feature movie, ''El fusilamiento de Dorrego'', now lost. Born in Barletta, Apulia, southern Italy, Gallo arrived in Argentina in 1905 and began directing in 1909 ''El fusilamiento de Dorrego'', which he presented a year later. Argentine cinema had so far consisted of shorts depicting parts of Buenos Aires and even a documentary by Eugène Py, in 1900, but Gallo's film was the first to be a feature work of fiction. In later years, Gallo claimed to have filmed other films first, all equally lost and of which remained no evidence.
