Terje Nordberg
Terje Nordberg (born 21 November 1949) is a Norwegian comics artist, comics writer and magazine editor. He lives in San Jose, California with his wife Nancy. He is also a painter having painted scenes of California, often with whimsical cows. He started making comics strips for '' Gateavisa'' in the late 1960s. Among his later contributions is text for the album series ''Truls og Trine'', ''Reodor og Teodor'' and ''Troll'', with Arild Midthun as the artist. Sproing Award
The Sproing Award is awarded by Norsk Tegneserieforum (NTF), an organisation to promote interest and understanding for comics in Norway. Since 1987, the award has been presented for the ''Best Norwegian Strips'', a comic strip or comic book by a Norwegian, and ''Best Translated Strips'', an international comic strip/comic book translated into Norwegian. Since 2003, there has also been awarded a Sproing for ''Best Comics Debut''. At NTF's annual meeting, a jury is selected which reads all publications of the year and choose five nominees for the national and international classes, and three nominees for the debut class. Initially, voting was exclusive to NTF members, but has been opened to the public in the 2000s. Gateavisa
(Norwegian: ''Street Newspaper'') is a countercultural magazine. It was first produced by an anarchist collective in 1970 at Hjelmsgate 3 in Oslo and focuses on anti-authoritarian topics. In it heyday in the early 1980s, an issue examining the stolen rubbish of two prime ministerial candidates sold over 20,000 copies. In 2020, a book celebrated 50 years of the magazine. History was first produced at Hjelmsgate 3 in 1970, as an anarchist magazine, released monthly. The editorial collective included anthropologist Thomas Hylland Eriksen. The anti-authoritarian magazine at first covered occultism and mysticism then changed its focus. Inspired by Kristiania Bohemians, surrealism, Dadaism and existentialism, at its peak in the late 1970s and early 1980s, the magazine had a greater circulation than and ''Ny Tid''. Arild Midthun
Arild Midthun (born 6 May 1964) is a Norwegian illustrator, cartoonist and comics artist. He was born in Bergen. Among his early production is the comics strip ''Patrick & Co'' in the newspaper ''Bergens Tidende'' 1977, a spy series written by Tormod Løkling. His artistical breakthrough was the strip series ''Sirkus'' from 1980 to 1982, written by Terje Nordberg, Eirik Ildahl and Dag Kolstad. He was a central illustrator for the humorous magazines ''Norsk MAD'' from 1981, and ''Pyton'' from 1986 to 1995. He was awarded the Sproing Award in 1988, for the album ''Troll: Sølvskatten'', jointly with Terje Nordberg.
