Terenci Moix
Terenci Moix (; real name Ramon Moix i Meseguer; 5 January 1942, in Barcelona – 2 April 2003, in Barcelona) was a Spanish writer, who wrote in Spanish, and in Catalan. He is also the brother of poet/novelist Ana Maria Moix. Life and work Self-taught, his first work, ''La torre de los vicios capitales'' (''La torre dels vicis capitals,'' in Catalan), was published in 1968. Many of his early works criticised the values of his time, especially the official morality of Francoism. In 1990, he wrote and published a children's book called, ''Los Grandes Mitos del Cine'' (English version as "The Greatest Stories of Hollywood Cinema"), which is illustrated by Willi Glasauer, and published by Círculo de Lectores. This children's book includes fun facts, trivia, and information accompanied by photos and Willi Glasauer's illustrations of the classic Hollywood films and stars such as '' Casablanca'', ''Gone with the Wind'', '' Cleopatra'', and '' Tarzan the Ape Man''. Serra D'Or
''Serra d'Or'' () is a Catalan magazine that appeared in October 1959. It was promoted by a group of university students, and was published by the Montserrat abbey press, with a monthly circulation of 8.000 copies. Origins The origins of the magazine can be traced in 1946. During the Virgin of Montserrat coronation festivities in 1947, even though the conditions were difficult, there was a meeting between Catalan intellectuals and the Benedictine monks of the Montserrat abbey. In that moment there were two publications that were sponsored by the Montserrat abbey, and that have been born separately: ''Germinàbit'', which was a magazine for the old singers of the abbey's choir, and ''Serra d'Or'', which was the magazine for the abbey's workers. At the end of 1959, the two magazines were merged into one. The ''Germinàbit'' staff (Enric Bastardes and Max Cahner, that had entered due to Josep Benet) became part then of the one of Serra d'Or. Rafael Peñas Cruz
Rafael Peñas Cruz (born March 1, 1964 in Spain) has been a novelist since 2004. He was born in Pozoblanco in Cordoba in Spain. His parents moved to Barcelona when he was young, and he graduated in English Literature from the city's university, before coming to London to study in summer 1989, and live from 1992 onwards. There, in a relationship with the film maker Constantine Giannaris he acted in the films "Jean Genet is Dead" (1989) and "Trojans" (1990) credited as Rafael Peñas. After completing an MA in Hispanic studies at Birkbeck University of London, he worked at schools and colleges teaching Spanish and Hispanic culture. At the Blackheath Bluecoat Church of England School he taught Rio Ferdinand who went on to achieve a noted career in football, and later worked at the City of London School where Daniel Radcliffe who subsequently enjoyed fame as a screen and stage actor, was one of his students.
