Terence Donovan (photographer)
Terence Daniel Donovan (14 September 1936 – 22 November 1996) was an English photographer and film director, noted for his fashion photography of the 1960s. A book of his fashion work, ''Terence Donovan Fashion'', was published 2012. He also directed many TV commercials and oversaw the music video to Robert Palmer's " Addicted to Love" and " Simply Irresistible". ''The Guardian'' labelled “Addicted to Love“ as being "fashion's favourite video" since it was released. Early life and education Donovan was born in Stepney in the East End of London to lorry driver Daniel Donovan and (Lilian) Constance Violet (née Wright), a cook. He took his first photo at the age of 15. He had a fractured education, but between the ages of 11 and 15 studied at the London County Council School of Photoengraving and Lithography. Stepney, East London
Stepney is a district in the East End of London in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The district is no longer officially defined, and is usually used to refer to a relatively small area. However, for much of its history the place name applied to a much larger manor and parish. Stepney Green is a remnant of a larger area of Common Land formerly known as Mile End Green. The area was built up rapidly in the 19th century, mainly to accommodate immigrant workers and displaced London poor, and developed a reputation for poverty, overcrowding, violence and political dissent. It was severely damaged during the Blitz, with over a third of housing totally destroyed; and then, in the 1960s, slum clearance and development replaced most residential streets with tower blocks and modern housing estates. Mayfair
Mayfair is an affluent area in the West End of London towards the eastern edge of Hyde Park, in the City of Westminster, between Oxford Street, Regent Street, Piccadilly and Park Lane. It is one of the most expensive districts in the world. The area was originally part of the manor of Eia and remained largely rural until the early 18th century. It became well known for the annual "May Fair" that took place from 1686 to 1764 in what is now Shepherd Market. Major Depressive Disorder
Major depressive disorder (MDD), also known as clinical depression, is a mental disorder characterized by at least two weeks of pervasive low mood, low self-esteem, and loss of interest or pleasure in normally enjoyable activities. Introduced by a group of US clinicians in the mid-1970s, the term was adopted by the American Psychiatric Association for this symptom cluster under mood disorders in the 1980 version of the '' Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders'' (DSM-III), and has become widely used since. The diagnosis of major depressive disorder is based on the person's reported experiences, behavior reported by relatives or friends, and a mental status examination. Katsuhiko Kashiwazaki (; born September 16, 1951, Kuji, Iwate) - Japanese judoka, champion and medalist of championships Japan and the world, author of books and one of the leading judo specialists in the world. Biography Katsuhiko Kashiwazaki began to practice judo at the age of 10. His first coach was the 5th dan master of Shotaro Kubo. While in high school and before entering Tokai University train the future champion became the master Yuto Wayama. While studying at the University of Tokyo, preparation Katsuhiko Kashiwazaki became a two-time world champion in judo (in 1967 and 1973) and three-time Japanese champion Nobuyuki Sato.
