''Teranodes'' is a genus of Australian Hexathelidae, funnel-web spiders that was first described by Robert Raven, Robert John Raven in 1985. it contains only two species: ''Teranodes montanus, T. montanus'' and ''Teranodes otwayensis, T. otwayensis''. It was originally given the name "Terania", but it was later changed to "Teranodes" when it was discovered that the name was already in use for a Pentatomidae, genus of shield bugs. References

''Teranodes montanus'' is a species of funnel-web spider in the Hexathelidae Family (biology), family. It is endemism, endemic to Australia. Distribution and habitat The species occurs in Tasmania and Victoria (state), Victoria, in closed forest habitats. ''Teranodes otwayensis'' is a species of funnel-web spider in the Hexathelidae family. It is endemic to Australia. It was described in 1978 by Australian arachnologist Robert Raven.
