Chinese surnames are used by Han Chinese and Sinicized ethnic groups in China, Taiwan, Korea, Vietnam, and among overseas Chinese communities around the world such as Singapore and Malaysia. Teo Chee Hean ( zh, s=张志贤, poj=Tiuⁿ Chì-hiân, p=Zhāng Zhìxián; born 27 December 1954) is a Singaporean politician and former two-star rear-admiral who has been serving as Senior Minister of Singapore since 2019 and Coordinating Minister for National Security since 2015. A member of the governing People's Action Party, he has been the Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Pasir Ris West division of Pasir Ris–Punggol GRC since 2001. Teo Ghim Heng
The Woodlands double murders were the murders of pregnant housewife Choong Pei Shan (钟佩珊 Zhōng Peìshān) and her daughter Teo Zi Ning (张梓宁 Zhāng Zǐníng) by her husband Teo Ghim Heng (张锦兴 Zhāng Jĭnxīng) on 20 January 2017. The murders, which took place in their Woodlands flat in Singapore, were supposedly committed due to Teo and his wife arguing with each other about their financial difficulties and during the argument, Teo was provoked by Choong's insults and thus strangled her with a towel, before he killed his daughter Zi Ning. The murder of Choong had also effectively made Teo responsible for murdering his unborn son; Choong was six months' pregnant when her husband killed her. Felicia Teo Wei Ling ( – 30 June 2007; 张玮凌 Zhāng Weǐlíng), was a Chinese Singaporean who was presumed dead after she went missing on 30 June 2007. She was alleged to be murdered by her two friends whom she visited on the same night.
