Teodor Salparov
Teodor Salparov ( bg, Теодор Салпаров born 16 August 1982) is a Bulgarian volleyball player, a member of the Bulgaria men's national volleyball team and the Bulgarian club VC Hebar Pazardzhik. He was a participant in the Olympic Games (Beijing 2008, London 2012), and was a bronze medalist in the 2006 World Championship, 2007 World Cup and 2009 European Championship. Career Clubs In 2014 went to Russian Zenit Kazan. In March 2015 he achieved gold medal of 2014–15 CEV Champions League with Russian club. In 2017 Salparov signed for Bulgarian Neftochimic. His teammates in Bulgaria national team Georgi Bratoev and Valentin Bratoev signed for the Burgas team the same year. With the Bulgarian team, Salparov became 2 time national champion. Gabrovo
Gabrovo ( bg, Габрово ) is a town in central northern Bulgaria, the administrative centre of Gabrovo Province. It is situated at the foot of the central Balkan Mountains, in the valley of the Yantra River, and is known as an international capital of humour and satire (see Gabrovo humour), as well as noted for its Bulgarian National Revival architecture. Men's European Volleyball Championship
The Men's European Volleyball Championship (''EuroVolley'') is the official competition for senior men's national volleyball teams of Europe, organized by the European Volleyball Confederation ( CEV). The initial gap between championships was variable, but since 1975 they have been awarded every two years. The current champion is Italy, which won its seventh title at the 2021 tournament. History The first tournament was held in 1948 with participation of six national teams. Being only participant from Eastern Europe, Czechoslovakia captured gold. The teams from Eastern Europe dominated at the tournament for next four decades. The next two editions held in 1950 and 1951 were won by the Soviet Union (who also won two World Championships in 1949 and 1952). 2016 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship
The 2016 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship was the 12th edition of the event. It was held in Betim, Brazil from 18 to 23 October 2016. Brazil's Sada Cruzeiro defeated Russia's Zenit Kazan in the final and won FIVB Men’s Club World Championship for the second time in a row and third on their history. Italy's Trentino Diatec claimed the bronze medal by defeating Argentina's Personal Bolívar in the third place match. William Arjona from Sada Cruzeiro was elected the Most Valuable Player. The Italy men's national volleyball team represents the country in international competitions and friendly matches. The national team is controlled by the Italian Volleyball Federation, the governing body for Volleyball in Italy. Valentin Bratoev ( bg, Валентин Братоев; October 21, 1987 in Sofia) is a Bulgarian volleyball player a member of Bulgaria men's national volleyball team and Bulgarian club CSKA Sofia. 2014–15 CEV Champions League
The 2014–15 CEV Champions League was the 56th edition of the highest level European volleyball club competition organised by the European Volleyball Confederation. Participating teams League round 28 teams have been drawn to 7 pools of 4 teams each. In each pool, the competition is organised on the basis of a double round-robin system. Each team will thus play 6 matches: twice against each opponent. In the League Round, the placing of the teams is determined by the number of matches won. 2006 FIVB Men's World Championship
The 2006 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship was held in Japan from 17 November to 3 December 2006. Like the previous edition, 24 teams participated in the tournament. Brazil won the Tournament (retaining their championship title), defeating Poland 3:0 in the final match. Bulgaria placed 3rd, defeating Serbia and Montenegro 3:1 in the 3rd place match. The Polish team dedicated this achievement to the deceased Polish volleyball player Arkadiusz Gołaś. The team honored him at the award ceremony, when they wore T-shirts with the number 16 and the words "Golas". Host Finals hosts Japan. The tournament was held in six Japan cities.
