36th Berlin International Film Festival
The 36th annual Berlin International Film Festival was held 14–25 February 1986. The festival opened with ''Ginger and Fred'' by Federico Fellini, which played out of competition at the festival. The Golden Bear was awarded to West German film '' Stammheim'' directed by Reinhard Hauff. The retrospective was in honour of German actress and film producer Henny Porten and the homage was dedicated to American film director Fred Zinnemann. Juan Diego Botto Rota (born 29 August 1975) is an Argentine-Spanish film, stage and television actor. Born in Argentina, he moved to Spain together with his mother (the actress and acting coach Cristina Rota) in 1978. Following early film appearances as a child actor, he landed a breakthrough role in the 1995 film ''Stories from the Kronen''. Luis Escobar y Kirkpatrick, 7th Marquess of Marismas del Guadalquivir (5 September 1908 – 16 February 1991), was a Spanish nobleman and actor. He was an actor, playwright, and theatre director who advanced the interests of Teatro María Guerrero, Teatro Español, and Teatro Eslava. A flamboyant aristocrat, he was particularly known to have played ''el marqués de Leguineche'' (the Marquess of Leguineche) in Luis García Berlanga's comedy trilogy: La Escopeta Nacional (1978), Patrimonio Nacional (1981) and Nacional III (1982). In 1950, he directed '' La honradez de la cerradura,'' being nominated at the 1951 Cannes Film Festival. Escobar never married and was openly homosexual, especially after Spanish democracy was restored in 1975. His niece, María Victoria Escobar y Cancho, succeeded him in the Marquessate of Marismas del Guadalquivir at his death in 1991. Ovidi Montllor (; 4 February 1942 in Alcoi, Spain – 10 March 1995 in Barcelona, Spain) was a Spanish singer-songwriter and actor. Career A native of Alcoi, at the age of 24 Montllor moved to Barcelona, where he was a member of various independent theater groups, including the CICF, and later with Núria Espert and Adrià Gual. In 1968, he began to sing songs with lyrics by songwriters such as Vincent Andrés Estellés, Pere Quart, as well as writing several songs by himself. Montllor was known for his deep voice and his histrionic on-stage manners, and went on to become one of the most talented members of the Nova Cançó movement, albeit one of the least popular. As a result of the tributes paid to him by internationally renowned artists such as Miquel Gil and Pascal Comelade, his work has received increased attention from music lovers in the last few years.
