Tenzin Ösel Hita
Tenzin Ösel Hita (born 12 February 1985 in Bubión, Granada, Spain) is a Tibetan Buddhist ''tulku'' and an aspiring filmmaker from Spain. Born Ösel Hita Torres to María Torres and Francisco Hita, he was designated soon after his birth as the ''tulku'' or reincarnation of Thubten Yeshe—making him one of only a handful of Western tulkus—and renamed Tenzin Ösel Rinpoche.() For many years "Lama Ösel" was expected to succeed to leadership of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), the organization co-founded by Yeshe. As a university student, "Oz" (as he came to be known) gradually distanced himself from the FPMT, and in 2009 made media statements indicating his intention to pursue a life independent of that organization. Bubión
Bubión is a village in Alpujarras, Las Alpujarras region of Province of Granada, Granada in Spain. It is located at latitude 36° 57' N, longitude 3° 21' W, at 1,350 metres above sea level. Its postal code is 18412. Together with Capileira (to the north) and Pampaneira (to the south) it has become a focus for the tourism, tourist trade in La Alpujarra, because of the spectacular location of the three villages on the gorge of the Río Poqueira and below the peaks of the Sierra Nevada (Spain), Sierra Nevada. Rinpoche, also spelled Rimboche and Rinboku (), is an honorific term used in the Tibetan language. It literally means "precious one", and may refer to a person, place, or thing—like the words "gem" or "jewel" (Sanskrit: ''Ratna''). The word consists of ''rin'' (value), ''po'' (nominalizing suffix) and ''chen'' (big).
