Tennis was contested at the 1966 Asian Games in Bangkok, Thailand from December 10 to December 20, 1966. Tennis had doubles and singles events for men and women, as well as a mixed doubles competition. Japan and Indonesia dominated the events winning all seven gold medals. National Stadium (Thailand)
The National Stadium of Thailand ( th, สนามกีฬาแห่งชาติ or กรีฑาสถานแห่งชาติ) is a sports complex located in Pathum Wan District, Bangkok. Founded in 1937 with the construction of Supachalasai Stadium (; ), its main venue, the complex has since expanded and now consists of multiple stadia and sporting facilities. History The stadium construction started in 1937 in the original area of Thai Windsor Palace that demolished in 1935. The Department of Physical Education entered into a 29-year lease agreement with Chulalongkorn University. First use of the stadium happened when King Ananda Mahidol presided over in the opening ceremony of 1938 men's athletics competition, which changed the venue from Sanam Luang. It is used mostly for football matches. It served as the main stadium for the 1966, 1970, and 1978 Asian Games. Netra (''Norddeutsche Erdgas Transversale'') is a long natural gas pipeline system in Germany, which runs from the Dornum natural gas receiving facilitiy at the coast of North Sea to Salzwedel in eastern Germany, where it is connected with the JAGAL pipeline. The pipeline is extended to Berlin through the Salzwedel–Berlin connection. Construction of the Netra pipeline was agreed in 1994 and the pipeline was commissioned in 1995. Originally it run from the Etzel gas storage facility to Salzwedel. In 1999, after commissioning the Europipe II pipeline, the NETRA pipeline system is extended from Etzel to Dornum. The compressor station near Wardenburg was built in 2003. The pipeline was owned and operated by NETRA GmbH Norddeutsche Erdgas Transversale & Co KG, a joint venture of E.ON Ruhrgas (41.7%), Gasunie Deutschland (29.6%) and Statoil (28.7%). Lita Liem Sugiarto
Lita Liem Sugiarto (born 27 February 1946), sometimes known by her maiden name Lita Liem, a former Indonesian professional tennis player. She played at Grand Slam events between 1968 and 1975, in women's singles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. In women's doubles, she and partner Lany Kaligis reached two Grand Slam quarterfinals: the Australian Open in 1970 and Wimbledon in 1971. As such, she and Kaligis were among the first Indonesians to reach the later rounds of a Grand Slam competition. Kaligis was the only partner that Sugiarto ever played with in Grand Slam doubles competition. In singles, her best results were her third round exits from the Australian Championships in 1968, the Australian Open in 1970, Wimbledon in 1972 and the French Open in 1974.
