André Gobert
André Henri Gobert (30 September 1890 – 6 December 1951) was a tennis player from France. Gobert is a double Olympic tennis champion of 1912. At the Stockholm Games, he won both the men's singles and doubles indoor gold medals. Career Gobert first started playing tennis at age 11. He was a two-time winner of the French Championships in 1911 and 1920, when the tournament was only open to amateur tennis players who had a membership with a French tennis club. He also won the International Lawn Tennis Federation's World Covered Court Championship (Indoor Wood) in 1919. Also twice runner-up at the World Hard Court Championships on Clay (1913 and 1920). Hakon Leffler
Hakon Leffler (11 March 1887 – 31 July 1972) was a Swedish engineer, businessman and tennis player. He was the son of merchant Carl Leopold Leffler, studied electrical engineering at the Royal Institute of Technology from 1905 to 1908, and at Uppsala University where he graduated in 1910. After having worked at the M.E. Delbanco company 1912–1915, he became the CEO of Svensk oljeslageri AB 1916. In 1929 he became the deputy CEO at Gamlestadens fabriker, a textile company in Gothenburg, and in 1935 its CEO. Carl Gunnar Emanuel Setterwall (18 August 1881 – 26 February 1928) was a Swedish tennis player who won four Olympic medals. In 1908, he won a bronze in the men's indoor doubles, with Wollmar Boström. Herbert Roper Barrett, KC (24 November 1873 – 27 July 1943) was a tennis player from Great Britain. Biography Barrett was born on 24 November 1873 in Upton, Essex. At the London Olympics in 1908 Barrett won a gold medal in the men's indoor doubles event with Arthur Gore. They also won the doubles in Wimbledon in 1909. In 1912 and 1913 he won the Wimbledon doubles title with Charles Dixon. He played his first Wimbledon singles' competition in 1898, reaching the second round in which he lost to eventual finalist Laurence Doherty. In 1908 he reached the All comers final, beating Anthony Wilding and Major Ritchie before losing in five sets to Arthur Gore. Erik Øckenholt Larsen (born 23 August 1880, date of death unknown) was a Danish tennis player at the beginning of the 20th century. Career Larsen was one of the first players from Denmark – the other being Thorkil Hillerup – to compete at the Wimbledon Championships in singles in 1905. He lost his first round match against William Larned. In 1913, he reached the fourth round which remained his best result at the tournament. Alfred Ernest Beamish (6 August 1879 – 28 February 1944) was an English tennis player born in Richmond, Surrey, England. He finished runner-up to James Cecil Parke in the Men's Singles final of the Australasian Championships, the future Australian Open, in 1912. Arthur Holden Lowe (29 January 1886 – 22 October 1958) was an English tennis player. Tennis career Lowe competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics in both singles and doubles. He was ranked World No. 7 in 1914 by A. Wallis Myers of ''The Daily Telegraph''. Lowe won three titles at the Queen's Club, the pre- Wimbledon tournament, winning his first two back-to-back in 1913–14, and his third over 10 years later in 1925. In 1919 Lowe was runner-up in the Australian Open Men's Doubles with his partner James Anderson.
