Tennessee State Route 52
State Route 52 (SR 52) is an east–west state highway that crosses eight counties in northern and northeastern Tennessee. The route originates in Orlinda along SR 49 and ends in Elgin along U.S. Route 27 (US 27). SR 52 is mostly a primary route, but becomes secondary west of I-65. Between Celina and Livingston it is part of Corridor J of the Appalachian Development Highway System. Route description In the border counties SR 52 begins as a secondary state route in Orlinda at SR 49 in Robertson County. It begins an eastward trek and junctions with I-65 (Exit 117) west of Portland. A short distance later, it junctions with US 31W ( SR 41) and enters Sumner County. Once it does so, it becomes a primary route. SR 52 then enters Portland and has an Intersection with SR 109. Continuing east, SR 52 enters Westmoreland, bypassing the downtown area to the south, and comes to an intersection with US 31E/231 ( SR 6). Morgan County, Tennessee
Morgan County is a county located in the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of the 2020 census, the population was 21,035. Its county seat is Wartburg. Morgan County is part of the Knoxville, TN Combined Statistical Area. History Morgan County was formed in 1817 from portions of Anderson and Roane counties. It was named in honor of Daniel Morgan (1736–1802), an American Revolutionary War officer who commanded the troops that defeated the British at the Battle of Cowpens, and who later served as a U.S. congressman from Virginia. The county had been part of lands relinquished by the Cherokee with the signing of the Third Treaty of Tellico in 1805. State Route 10 (SR 10) is a south–north route from the Alabama state line in Lincoln County, Tennessee to the Kentucky state line in Macon County. For most of the highway's length, it is an unsigned designation for US 231. Route description Alabama to Murfreesboro SR 10 begins at the Alabama state line in Lincoln County, just north of Hazel Green, Alabama, where it is the unsigned companion route of US 231/ US 431. The highway then goes north through farmland and countryside and has an intersection with SR 275 before going through Park City and crossing a ridge into Fayetteville. State Route 109 (SR 109) is a primary state highway in Middle Tennessee. It runs from the intersection of SR 265 and Interstate 840 (I-840, exit 72) near Lebanon, north through Gallatin to the Kentucky state line and I-65 (exit 121). State Route 49 (SR 49) is a state highway in Tennessee. The route forms a broad southern arc that passes through the rural Middle Tennessee towns of Dover, Erin, Charlotte, Ashland City, Pleasant View, and Springfield. Route description SR 49 begins in Stewart County in downtown Dover at a junction with US 79/ SR 76 as a primary highway. It goes east, paralleling the Cumberland River before turning south and having an intersection with SR 233. It then goes through some farmland and hills before crossing into Houston County.
