Tennessee State Route 35
State Route 35 (SR 35) is a north–south state highway in East Tennessee. The long state highway traverses Blount, Sevier, a small portion of Jefferson, Cocke, and Greene Counties. Most of the route is a secret, or hidden designation, as it runs concurrently with U.S. Highways in the area. Route description Blount County SR 35, alone, begins in Blount County at an interchange with US 129 (Alcoa Highway/ SR 115) in Alcoa. SR 35 goes southeast as a 4-lane divided highway known as S Hall Road, where it passes through some residential areas before entering a major business district, where it downgrades to an undivided 4-lane, before crossing a bridge into downtown Maryville. It immediately becomes N Washington Street before coming to an intersection with US 411 and SR 33 (E/W Broadway Avenue), where SR 35 becomes unsigned as it becomes concurrent with US 411. Tennessee State Route 33
State Route 33 (SR 33) is a primary and secondary route in East Tennessee. It runs 176 miles, from the Georgia state line in Polk County, northeast to the Virginia state line north of Kyles Ford in Hancock County. South of Maryville, SR 33 is a "hidden" route which shares a concurrency with US 411. The section of SR 33 between Knoxville and Tazewell, along with US 25E between Tazewell and Middlesboro, Kentucky, was an inspiration for the song The Ballad of Thunder Road. In the song, a moonshiner runs illegal whiskey from Kentucky to Knoxville on this route. Sections of the former Highway 33 in Union County have signs marking "The Original Thunder Road". Tennessee State Route 416
State Route 416 (SR 416, also known locally as Pittman Center Road) is a secondary highway that runs south to north, entirely in Sevier County, Tennessee. Route description SR 416 begins in Pittman Center at US 321 and it ends at US 411 in eastern Sevierville. It is a two-laned road that curves through hilly terrain and farmland, and it is commonly used as an alternate route to bypass peak time traffic in Sevierville and Pigeon Forge on US 441. State Route 449 (SR 449) is a north–south state highway in Sevier County, within the eastern part of the U.S. state of Tennessee. It travels from US 411 (Dolly Parton Parkway) overlaying Veterans Boulevard and some of Middle Creek Road in Sevierville south to US 441/US 321 ( Parkway) in Pigeon Forge. It serves as a bypass around the busy tourist areas in Sevierville and Pigeon Forge. SR 449 is a more direct route to Dollywood and Dollywood's Splash Country when traveling from the north. Little Pigeon River (Tennessee)
The Little Pigeon River is a river located entirely within Sevier County, Tennessee. It rises from a series of streams which flow together on the dividing ridge between the states of Tennessee and North Carolina, with most of the flow from inside the boundary of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The river has three main forks or prongs, East, Middle, and West. The East and Middle prongs are less notable divisions of the river, with the Middle Prong emerging from the Greenbrier area of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and paralleled for most of its remaining length by State Route 416 up to its confluence with the East Fork near U.S. Route 411. Tennessee State Route 338
State Route 338 (SR 338) is a secondary highway located entirely within Sevier County in East Tennessee. The road runs generally south–north although like most roads in East Tennessee it has numerous winding turns. Route description SR 338 begins at an intersection with US 441/ US 411/ SR 35/ SR 71 in Seymour. It winds its way northeast as Boyds Creek Highway to pass through Boyds Creek before entering Sevierville and coming to an intersection with SR 66. SR 338 turns south and becomes concurrent with SR 66 to pass through a business district before leaving SR 66 and turning northeast onto Douglas Dam Road and leaving Sevierville.
