State Route 118 (SR 118) is 14.81 mile long north–south state highway in Weakley County, Tennessee. It connects the town of Dresden with the communities of Latham, Dukedom, and the state of Kentucky. Route description SR 118 begins in downtown Dresden at an intersection with SR 54/ SR 89 (Main Street), directly beside the Weakley County Courthouse. It goes north as N Wilson Street past homes and businesses before leaving Dresden and continuing north through a mix of farmland and wooded areas. The highway then passes through Latham, where it has an intersection and short concurrency with SR 190 and crosses the North Fork of the Obion River. Dresden is a town in and the county seat of Weakley County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 3,005 at the 2010 census. Geography Dresden is located at (36.283805, -88.698296). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of , of which is land and 0.19% is water. Demographics 2020 census As of the 2020 United States census, there were 3,019 people, 1,170 households, and 800 families residing in the town. 2000 census As of the census of 2000, there were 2,855 people, 1,212 households, and 784 families residing in the town. Dukedom, Kentucky And Tennessee
Dukedom is an unincorporated community in both Graves County, Kentucky and Weakley County, Tennessee, straddling the state line in the western part of both states. The location is ; The elevation is 487 feet above sea level. The community is notable as the location of the Knob Creek Church of Christ, established in June 1834, the first Restoration Movement congregation to adopt the name Church of Christ. Demographics History A post office was established on the Tennessee side in 1833. The community probably derives its name from Duke A. Beadles, first postmaster. Weakley County is a county located in the northwest of the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of the 2010 census, the population was 35,021. Its county seat is Dresden. Its largest city is Martin, the home of the University of Tennessee at Martin. The county was established by the Tennessee General Assembly on October 21, 1823, and is named for U.S. Congressman Robert Weakley (1764–1845). Weakley County comprises the Martin, TN Micropolitan Statistical Area. History Weakley County was created in October 1823 from some of the land that the Chickasaw people ceded to the United States in the Treaty of 1818. State Route 54 (SR 54) is a west–east rural highway in West Tennessee, which runs from Covington to just north of Paris. Route description Covington to Alamo SR 54 begins in downtown Covington in Tipton County at an intersection with US 51/ SR 3. It then goes to a junction with SR 384.
