Tenmile Creek (Colorado)
Tenmile Creek (also called Ten Mile Creek) is a stream in Summit County, Colorado. It rises above the Copper Mountain Ski Resort and follows alongside Interstate 70 for several miles before emptying into Dillon Reservoir. The creek — along with a paved trail that follows alongside it — is easily visible from Interstate 70 between Frisco and the Copper Mountain Ski Area. One of its tributaries, North Tenmile Creek, merges with it near Interstate 70. After this confluence, the creek flows near East Main Street in Frisco before it enters Dillon Reservoir. Summit County, Colorado
Summit County is a county located in the U.S. state of Colorado. As of the 2020 census, the population was 31,055. The county seat and largest town is Breckenridge. Summit County comprises the Breckenridge, CO Micropolitan Statistical Area. History Summit County was organized as one of the seventeen original Colorado counties by the First Territorial Legislature on November 1, 1861. It was named for the many mountain summits in the county. Until February 2, 1874, its boundaries included the area now comprising Summit County, Grand County, Routt County, Moffat County, Garfield County, Eagle County, and Rio Blanco County. In 1874, the northern half of the original Summit County was split off to form Grand County; with the creation of Garfield and Eagle counties in 1883, Summit County arrived at its present boundaries. Dillon Reservoir
Dillon Reservoir, sometimes referred to as Lake Dillon, is a large fresh water reservoir located in Summit County, Colorado, United States, south of I-70 and bordered by the towns of Frisco, Silverthorne, and Dillon. It is a reservoir for the city of Denver, and its waters are under the control of Denver Water. Popular ski areas are close to the reservoir, including Copper Mountain, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, and Breckenridge. History In 1859, a large party of gold-seekers led by Ruben Spalding discovered gold near the headwaters of the Blue River, which prompted a population surge in Summit County, Colorado. Colorado River

Copper Mountain (Colorado)
Copper Mountain is a mountain and ski resort located in Summit County, Colorado, about west of Denver on Interstate 70. The resort has of in-bounds terrain under lease from the U.S. Forest Service, White River National Forest, Dillon Ranger District. It is operated by POWDR. History The resort opened in November 1972. The mountain has been operated by several owners. In 1980, it was acquired by Apex Oil Company, who operated the area until 1988, when it was acquired by the Toronto-based Horsham Corporation. Frisco is a home rule municipality located in Summit County, Colorado, United States. The town population was 2,913 at the 2020 United States Census. Frisco is a part of the Breckenridge, CO Micropolitan Statistical Area. It is a popular town among skiers from around the world.
