Templeogue College C.S.Sp is a boys' voluntary secondary school in the suburb of Templeogue, Dublin in Ireland. History and statistics It was founded in 1966 and is run by the Holy Ghost Fathers, a Roman Catholic religious institute. The school's principal is Niamh Quinn and the motto of the school is , which means 'education rooted in values'. There were 700 pupils and 50 teachers at the school in 2020. Sport The school participates in sports including rugby union, basketball, football, athletics, and badminton. Templeogue () is a southwestern suburb of Dublin in Ireland. It lies between the River Poddle and River Dodder, and is about halfway from Dublin's centre to the mountains to the south. Geography Location The centre of Templeogue is from both the city centre to the north and the Dublin Mountains to the south, and to the coast at Dublin Bay on the Irish Sea. Denis Bastick
Denis Bastick (born 8 May 1981) is a Gaelic footballer who plays for Templeogue Synge Street and, formerly, for the Dublin county team. Biography Bastick attended St. Josephs BNS Primary School in Terenure. Bastick's club side Templeogue Synge Street won promotion to the top league in Dublin football for 2007. Bastick was considered unlikely to feature in the 2007 league campaign for Dublin due to a cruciate knee injury. Bastick made his return to the inter-county scene in June 2007 by being named on the Dublin panel to Wicklow in the Leinster Junior Football Championship. Republic Of Loose
Republic of Loose were an Irish funk rock band from Dublin. Formed in 2001, the band formerly consisted of lead vocalist Mick Pyro, bass guitarist and vocalist Benjamin Loose, keyboardist Deco, guitarists and vocalists Dave Pyro and Brez and drummer and percussionist Coz Noelen. With a self-described musical style of "the stuff your dad likes", the band signed to Big Cat Records in 2003, recording their debut album ''This is the Tomb of the Juice'' which was released in 2004. Mick Pyro
Michael Tierney, better known as Mick Pyro, is an Irish musician. He is best known as the frontman of the Dublin funk rock band Republic of Loose. He has also participated in other independent work with fellow Irish and international musicians and performed a duet with Sinéad O'Connor at the 2008 Meteor Awards where she revealed her admiration for his vocals. He has also written for the ''Irish Independent''. Pyro is known for his distinctive singing and his bearded appearance. Morgan Kelly is Professor of Economics at University College Dublin (UCD).
