Almaqah or Almuqh ( xsa, 𐩱𐩡𐩣𐩤𐩠; ar, المقه; gez, አልመቀህ) was the Moon god of the ancient Yemeni kingdom of Saba'. He was also worshipped in the kingdom of Dʿmt, which later became the kingdom of Aksum in Ethiopia and Eritrea. The Temple of the Moon (Chinese: 月坛/月壇, Pinyin: Yuètán) is an altar located in Fuchengmen, Xicheng District, in western Beijing, China. The altar was built in 1530 during the Ming Dynasty for use in ritual sacrifice to the Moon by the Emperor of China. The altar and the surrounding grounds are within a public park. The altar itself is no longer intact, though the surrounding walls remain. The Temple of the Moon is an Incan ceremonial temple on Huayna Picchu near Machu Picchu, in Peru. The site is made up of stone masonry and an open-face, shallow cave. The temple is arbitrarily named, like many of the sites in Machu Picchu. In the center of the cave is a throne carved out of rock. Beside the throne are steps that lead deeper into the cave. It is thought that the caves were used to hold mummies. The Temple of the Moon dates back 1500 years. It was rediscovered in 1936. It lies below the summit on the north side of Huayna Picchu. Architecture The Temple of the Moon consists of three structural components: an overhanging cave with superb stonework, a very tall double-jamb doorway beyond, and farther beyond, several structures including one that again uses a cave. Temple of the Moon is a elevation summit located in Capitol Reef National Park, in Wayne County of Utah, United States. This remote, iconic monolith is situated north-northeast of the park's visitor center, and south of Temple of the Sun, in the Middle Desert of the park's North (Cathedral Valley) District. Cathedral Valley was so named in 1945 by Charles Kelly, first superintendent of Capitol Reef National Monument, because the valley's sandstone monoliths reminded early explorers of ornate, Gothic cathedrals, with fluted walls, alcoves, and pinnacles. The free-standing Temple of the Moon towers nearly above its surrounding terrain, which is within the Fremont River drainage basin. John C. Frémont's 1853 expedition passed through Cathedral Valley. ''Dargaard'' is an Austrian neoclassical dark wave band formed in 1997. Typically in dark and somber moods, the music of ''Dargaard'' presents medieval and folk-like melodies, often orchestrated through the use of various instrument patches from a keyboard. The band has four releases at this time. Band history ''Dargaard'' was founded by Alexander "Tharen" Opitz in 1997. Tharen had already played a prominent role in several underground bands by this time, including ''Abigor'' and ''Amestigon'', both black metal bands and '' Dominion III'', an industrial music act. Tharen was the keyboard player in ''Abigor'', but ''Amestigon'', ''Dominion III'' and ''Dargaard'' are entirely his projects. Eternity Rites
''Eternity Rites'' is the debut studio album by the Austrian neoclassical dark wave band ''Dargaard'', released in 1998 by ''Napalm Records'' under the ''Draenor Productions'' banner. The album was recorded and mixed at ''Hoernix Studios'' by Georg Hranda and Tharen during 1998. It instills a dark rhythm and develops "a climactic fairytale full of medieval/folk themes beautifully composed and perfectly performed". The album includes eleven tracks, two of which are different parts of the song ''Eternity Rites''. All the tracks are composed in mixture of neo-classical, folk and dark ambient music. The vocals of Elisabeth Toriser, the soprano with an operatic voice is also highly appreciated through most of reviews, which is "both clear and powerful, yet strangely delicate."Reviewed by ''The Plug''.
