Telêmaco Borba
Telêmaco Borba is a municipality in the state of Paraná in the Southern Region of Brazil. Telêmaco Borba is known as the "capital of paper" (Capital do Papel) and "capital of wood" (Capital da Madeira) due to the importance of paper and wood production to the local economy, with reforestation for growing pine and eucalyptus that reaches 90% of the agricultural area of the municipality. City Telêmaco Borba is the second largest city in Campos Gerais, it had a population of 79,792 in 2020, according to the estimate. Telêmaco Borba is highly urbanised, since only 2,400 residents live in the countryside. The city was founded because of Klabin Papel e Celulose Industry in the early 1940s. Their factory is the largest producer, exporter and recycler of paper in Brazil. Today, the city is the 6th largest Industrial Center in Paraná, thanks to paper/lumber sector. Dayenne Proença Mesquita (born September 23, 1985), best known as Day Mesquita, is a Brazilian actress who played the lead role in two telenovelas. BR-153 is a major federal highway of Brazil, officially named the Transbrasiliana Highway. It also serves as part of the Belém–Brasília Highway in the stretch located between the cities of Wanderlândia, in the state of Tocantins, and Anápolis, in the state of Goiás. It crosses Brazil in a north–south direction, starting in São Domingos do Araguaia, in the state of Pará and ending in Aceguá, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul on the Brazil/Uruguay border. The highway, highly variable in quality and traffic, cuts through the states of Pará, Tocantins, Goiás, Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul. Duplication A 315 km section between Anápolis and Monte Alegre de Minas has already been duplicated.
