Telus Edmonton Open
The Edmonton Open was a golf tournament on the Canadian Tour that was held in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It was founded in 1993 as the Klondike Golf Klassic and was held during the week leading up to the Klondike Days summer fair. In 1996 Telus become the tournament's main sponsor and it was re-titled as the ED TEL PLAnet Open, before becoming the Telus Edmonton Open the following year. The Edmonton Open came to an end after the 2009 edition when it was merged with the ATB Financial Classic, which was played in Edmonton in 2010 and 2012. Alberta ( ) is one of the thirteen provinces and territories of Canada. It is part of Western Canada and is one of the three prairie provinces. Stephen Gangluff
Stephen O. Gangluff (born September 6, 1975) is an American professional golfer. Gangluff was born in Marysville, Ohio. He played college golf at Ohio State University. He turned professional in 1996. Gangluff played on the Nationwide Tour in 2003, 2004, 2007, and 2011. His best finish was T-3 at the 2007 Preferred Health Systems Wichita Open. He also played on the Canadian Tour, winning three times and leading the Order of Merit in 2006. He played on the PGA Tour in 2002 and 2012, both times earning his card through Q School. Ray Freeman (golfer)
Raymond Freeman FRS (6 January 1932 – 1 May 2022) was a British chemist and professor at Jesus College, Cambridge who made important contributions to NMR spectroscopy. Education Freeman was educated at Nottingham High School where he won an Open Scholarship to Lincoln College, Oxford in December 1949 and (at the instigation of Lincoln College) deferred his admission to Oxford to complete his military service in the Royal Air Force as a radar instructor, reaching the rank of acting corporal, un-paid. In October 1951 he returned to Oxford and began his studies in Chemistry under the tutorship of Rex Richards, going on to do research in Rex's group on NMR of the less-common nuclei (in particular 59Co) and earning his Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. Paul Devenport
Paul Dale Devenport (born 19 March 1966) is a semi-retired professional golfer from New Zealand. Born in Wellington, New Zealand, Devenport grew up in Paraparaumu Beach where his house backed onto the 13th hole of the Paraparaumu Beach Club. After playing amateur golf in Wellington, he was offered a full golf scholarship from Houston Baptist University in Houston, Texas. He later transferred to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to finish his Business Degree before turning pro in 1991. Devenport joined the PGA Tour of Australasia in 1993, but has had most success on the Canadian Tour where he has won four times, including twice in 2001. His final win was the 2001 Shell Payless Open, where he was victorious a few weeks after the death of his mother.
