The Telugu Wikipedia ( te, తెలుగు వికీపీడియా) was begun on 10 December 2003 by Venna Nagarjuna, who is known for Padma (a system for transforming text in Indic scripts among open-source and proprietary formats). On 28 August 2016, its article count was 65,048—fifth among the Indian-language Wikipedias, after Hindi Wikipedia, Hindi, Urdu Wikipedia, Urdu, Tamil Wikipedia, Tamil and Nepal Bhasa Wikipedia, Newar. Background In 2005, the Hindi Wikipedia received a boost when Chava Kiran, Akkineni Pradeep, Vyzas Satya, Veeven and Charivari joined; Charivari later spearheaded the Telugu campaign. Satya planned and executed a project to add stubs for districts, Tehsil, mandals and Telugu films with the aid of a bot. The stubs were expanded into articles with the help of volunteers from the Telugu online and blogging communities. Google Transliteration
Google Transliteration and Google Indic Transliteration is a transliteration typing service for languages with non-Latin Alphabets. This tool first appeared in Blogger, Google's popular blogging servicLater on, it came into existence as a separate online tool. Its popularity got it embedded in GMail and Orkut. In December 2009, Google released its offline version named Google IME. This tool from Google is based on dictionary based phonetic transliteration approach. In contrast to older Indic typing tools, which work by transliterating under a particular scheme, Google transliterates by matching the Latin alphabet words with an inbuilt dictionary. Since users do not need to remember the transliteration scheme, the service is so easy that it is suitable for total beginners. InScript Keyboard
InScript (short for Indic Script) is the decreed standard keyboard layout for Indian scripts using a standard 104- or 105-key layout. This keyboard layout was standardised by the Government of India for inputting text in languages of India written in Brahmic scripts, as well as the Santali language, written in the non-Brahmic Ol Chiki script. It was developed by the Indian Government and supported by several public and private organisations. This is the standard keyboard for 12 Indian scripts including Devanagari, Bengali, Gujarati, Gurmukhi, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Tamil and Telugu, among others. The Jyotirao Phule Praja Bhavan, formerly Pragathi Bhavan is the official residence and principal workplace of the Chief Minister of Telangana. It is located at Greenlands Road, Punjagutta, Hyderabad in Telangana. It was built in 2016 under the chief ministership of K. Chandrashekar Rao. It was designed by the Indian architect, N. Niroop Kumar Reddy. On 7 December 2023, Revanth Reddy took oath as the Chief Minister of Telangana making him the second person to hold the post. On the day of his swearing-in, he renamed Pragathi Bhavan as Praja bhavan meaning people's building. He ordered the removal of iron barricades at the entrance.
