Telmanove Raion
Telmanove Raion ( uk, Тельманівський район, ) is one of the administrative raions (a ''district'') of Donetsk Oblast, located in southeastern Ukraine. The raion was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Donetsk Oblast to eight. However, since 2014 much of the raion was not under control of Ukrainian government and has been part of the Donetsk People's Republic which continues using it as an administrative unit. The administrative center of the raion is located in the urban-type settlement of Telmanove. The last estimate of the raion population, reported by the Ukrainian government, was . Raions of Ukraine (often translated as "districts"; Ukrainian: ра́йон, tr. ''raion''; plural: райо́ни, tr. ''raiony'') are the second level of administrative division in Ukraine, below the oblast. Raions were created in a 1922 administrative reform of the Soviet Union, to which Ukraine, as the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, belonged. On 17 July 2020, the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine's parliament) approved an administrative reform to merge most of the 490 raions, along with the "cities of regional significance", which were previously outside the raions, into just 136 reformed raions. Volnovakha Raion
Volnovakha Raion ( uk, Волноваський район, ) is one of the 18 administrative raions (a ''district'') of Donetsk Oblast, located in southeastern Ukraine. Nikolske Raion ( uk, Нікольський район), until May 2016 Volodarske Raion ( uk, Володарський район), was one of the raions of Donetsk Oblast, located in southwestern Ukraine. The administrative center of the raion was the urban-type settlement of Nikolske. Mykolaivka, Donetsk Oblast
Mykolaivka ( uk, Микола́ївка, ; russian: Николаевка) is a city of district significance and administrative centre of Mykolaivka urban hromada in Sloviansk Raion, Donetsk Oblast (province) of Ukraine to the south of the railway station Elektrychna. Kalmius
The Kalmius (, russian: Кальмиус) is one of two rivers flowing through the Ukrainian city of Mariupol. The other is the Kalchik, which flows into the Kalmius. The Kalmius flows into the Sea of Azov near the Azovstal steel manufacturing complex in Mariupol. The War in Donbas, russian: Война на Донбассе was an armed conflict in the Donbas region of Ukraine, part of the broader Russo-Ukrainian War. In March 2014, immediately following the Euromaidan protest movement and subsequent Revolution of Dignity, protests by pro-Russian, anti-government separatist groups arose in the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts of Ukraine, collectively called the Donbas.
