Tell 'Em Steve-Dave!
''Tell 'Em Steve-Dave!'', or simply ''TESD'', is an American comedy podcast, featured previously on the SModcast Podcast Network. It is hosted by View Askew Productions regulars and close friends of Kevin Smith: Bryan Johnson and Walt Flanagan of AMC's ''Comic Book Men'', as well as Brian Quinn of '' Impractical Jokers''. The show is edited by Declan Quinn of Creaky Studios. Previously, ''Tell 'Em Steve-Dave!'' was recorded at Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash in Red Bank, New Jersey, the location seen in the television show ''Comic Book Men'', and the A Shared Universe PodcaStudio, run by Ming Chen and Mike Zapcic. Currently the podcast records from the TESD Town Studios in Hazlet, NJ. The show's title comes from a running joke in Smith's View Askewniverse movies in which Flanagan's character, Fanboy, yells "Tell 'em, Steve-Dave!" at Johnson's character, Steve-Dave. Walt Flanagan
Walter Flanagan (born October 23, 1967) is a former comic book store manager, reality television personality, podcaster, and comic book artist. Flanagan is a long-time friend of Kevin Smith, and (according to Smith's book ''Silent Bob Speaks'') it was Flanagan who turned Smith on to comic books. He formerly managed Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash in Red Bank, New Jersey. Flanagan was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, grew up in nearby Highlands, New Jersey, Highlands and attended Henry Hudson Regional High School with Smith. Flanagan is the co-host of the ''Tell 'Em Steve-Dave!'' podcast with longtime friends Bryan Johnson (filmmaker), Bryan Johnson and The Tenderloins, Brian Quinn. Monster Magnet is an American rock band. Hailing from Red Bank, New Jersey, the group was founded in 1989 by Dave Wyndorf (vocals and guitar), John McBain (guitar) and Tim Cronin (vocals and drums); they have since gone through several lineup changes, leaving Wyndorf as the only constant member. David Wyndorf (born October 28, 1956) is an American musician who is the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and songwriter for rock band Monster Magnet. He is the frontman and only remaining original member of the band. Career Commercial success In the early 1980s, Wyndorf fronted a punk band called Shrapnel, who recorded two 45 singles ("Combat Love" and "Go Cruisin'") and a five-song self-titled EP on Elektra Records. During most part of the 1990s, Wyndorf and Monster Magnet struggled for commercial success which they could not obtain because of their unfashionable retro-rock style. The View Askewniverse is a fictional universe created by writer/director Kevin Smith, featured in several films, comics and a television series; it is named for Smith's production company, View Askew Productions.
