Telizhyntsi
Telizhyntsi () is a village in Bila Tserkva Raion, Ukraine. It is located on the Ros'ka River, 9 km southwest of Tetiiv. Telizhyntsi belongs to Tetiiv urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. History In 1860s there was 1558 people in the village. There was a black forest to the west of village. Villagers believed that it stood on ruins of an old Greek city, destroyed by Tatars. In 1844, a clay vessel, containing burned bones. About a Kilometer away, on the right bank of Ros'ka river, were visible remains of an old castle. There was a church built in 1725. A new one was built in 1789 and restored in 1857. Until 18 July 2020, Telizhyntsi belonged to Tetiiv Raion. The raion was abolished in July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Kyiv Oblast to seven. Ivan Drach
Ivan Fedorovych Drach ( uk, Іва́н Фе́дорович Драч; 17 October 1936 – 19 June 2018) was a Ukrainian poet, screenwriter, literary critic, politician, and political activist. Drach played an important role in the founding of Rukh – the People's Movement of Ukraine – and led the organisation from 1989 to 1992. Biography Ivan Drach was born 17 October 1936, in Telizhyntsi, Kyiv Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. After finishing high school, Ivan Drach complied with military service, after which he studied in the Faculty of Language and Literature of Kyiv University from 1959-1963. At this time Drach visited the popular "Klub tvorchoyi molodi" Club for Creative Young People" (CCY)and took part in literary evenings with reading of innovative poems. This creative way started in the period of Khrushchev thaw. Drach made his debut in 1961 with the publication of his poem-tragedy ''Knife in the Sun'' in the Kyiv literary newspaper. Oleksiy Seniuk
Oleksiy Oleksandrovych Seniuk ( uk, Олексі́й Олекса́ндрович Сеню́к; 24 December 1974 – 27 February 2022) was a Ukrainian veteran of the Russo-Ukrainian War. He was killed by Russian Armed Forces in the Siege of Chernihiv on 27 February 2022 during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. He was posthumously awarded the Order of Gold Star. Early life Oleksiy Seniuk was born on 24 December 1974 in the village of Telizhyntsi (currently part of Tetiiv hromada) Bila Tserkva Raion of Kyiv Oblast. After finishing school, he worked as a builder. Military career He did his 18 month mandatory conscription service during 1990s. When War in Donbas began in 2014, Oleksiy joined the army, as a volunteer at first. Later he signed a contract and became a soldier in 3rd Company 1st Tank Brigade.
