Telindus
Telindus was a legal entity based in Belgium that offered ICT services and solutions to the corporate and public sector, both in Belgium and internationally. These solutions also contained management and support services in relation to their ICT contracts. Telindus was founded by John Cordier in 1969. Based in Heverlee, which is a part of Leuven, it was listed on the stock market in 1985 and grew in Europe by taking over various companies. In 2005, it achieved a turnover of €618 million, had 2,750 employees, and was present in 6 western European countries. In January 2006 Belgium's largest telecommunications provider Belgacom Group, today named Proximus Group acquired Telindus for it to become its IT services subsidiary. Introduction Agile Networks was founded in 2011 following a management buyout of the operations of Telindus in Ireland. The new company acquired the assets, staff and customer base from Telindus following similar management buyouts for other Telindus entities in Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Germany and Italy. The new entity secured funding support from Fingal County Enterprise Board, the local council where Agile Networks has its head office based in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15. John Cordier
John Cordier (Oudenburg, 1 September 1941- Bonheiden, 22 January 2002) was a Belgian businessman. He founded Telindus in 1969, a modem and network component company. In October 1999 he succeeded Julien De Wilde as President of the board of directors of Agoria. John Cordier was also very active in supporting sports, he served as President of the Belgian football club K.V. Mechelen for eleven years from 1982 to 1993. Heverlee () is a town in Belgium. It is a borough of the city of Leuven. Heverlee is bordered by Herent, Bertem, Oud Heverlee and several other municipalities that are part of Leuven (including Leuven proper and Kessel-Lo).
