Television In Kosovo
Television in Kosovo was first introduced in 1974. The Radio Television of Pristina was the first Albanian-speaking broadcaster in Kosovo, founded in 1974 following Radio Pristina's foundation in 1945. It was forcefully shut down in 1990 by the Yugoslavian government, forbidding the flow of information through Kosovan airwaves during the Kosovo War. In wartime, the information blackout was covered by Radio 21 (in exile via internet radio and the BBC World Service) and Koha Ditore (via its newspaper and an English-language website), while television was under the sole ownership of the Radio Television of Serbia. In 1999, the Radio Television of Pristina reopened and was transformed into the Radio Television of Kosovo (RTK), thanks to help from foreign countries. RTK 3 (English: ''Radio Television of Kosovo 3'', Albanian: ''Radio Televizioni i Kosovës 3'') is the third public television channel of Kosovo. As part of the Radio Television of Kosovo (RTK), a public service broadcaster, RTK 3 produces and airs newscasts and talk shows. SuperSport (Albanian TV Network)
SuperSport is an Albanian group of television sports channels operated by terrestrial telly platform DigitAlb. The channels broadcast a range of different sports such as the English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, German Bundesliga& Bundesliga 2, Dutch Eredivisie, French Ligue 1&Ligue 2, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Euro, UEFA Europa Conference League, Copa América, ATP 500, ATP 1000, IAAF etc. Most of the sports events are broadcasting live and in full HD. Also, 3D broadcasts are available; mainly for specific football matches. 21 Junior is a Kosovo, Kosovan free-to-air television channel based in Pristina. It was launched in September 2009, by ''Company 21'' and it's the first Kosovan TV channel dedicated to kids 24/7. A big part of its programming includes TV shows and movies by the European animation company Mondo TV. It also broadcasts children's music and musicals all made in Kosovo.
