Teknaf Beach
Teknaf Beach ( bn, টেকনাফ সৈকত) is a part of Cox's Bazar Beach, located at Teknaf Upazila Teknaf ( bn, টেকনাফ ''Ṭeknaf'') is an upazila of Cox's Bazar District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh. Near this beach are the dense Zhaoban and to the north the Tainga hills. In 2020 a boat washed up to the site with more than 24 refugees who lost their life fleeing Myanmar. A beach is a landform alongside a body of water which consists of loose particles. The particles composing a beach are typically made from rock, such as sand, gravel, shingle, pebbles, etc., or biological sources, such as mollusc shells or coralline algae. Sediments settle in different densities and structures, depending on the local wave action and weather, creating different textures, colors and gradients or layers of material.
