Teerasak Po-on ( th, ธีระศักดิ์ โพธิ์อ้น; born 18 May 1978) is a Thai professional Manager (association football), football manager and former Association football, player, who is the current manager of Thai League 1 club Nakhon Ratchasima F.C., Nakhon Ratchasima. Chonburi Province
Chonburi (, , ) is a province of Thailand (''changwat'') located in eastern Thailand. Its capital is also named Chonburi. Neighbouring provinces are (clockwise from north) Chachoengsao, Chanthaburi, and Rayong, while the Bay of Bangkok is to the west. The Thai League 1 ( th, ไทยลีก 1), often referred to as T1, is the top level of the Thai football league system. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Thai League 2. Seasons run from August to May, with each team playing 30 games (playing all 15 other teams both home and away). It is sponsored by Toyota Motor Thailand and therefore officially known as the Hilux Revo Thai League. 2016 Thai League T1
The 2016 Thai League T1 (also known as the Toyota Thai League for sponsorship reasons) was the 20th season of the Thai League T1, the top Thai professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1996. A total of 18 teams competed in the league. The season started on 5 March 2016. Buriram United are the defending champions, having won the Thai Premier League title the three consecutive seasons. Following the death of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the Football Association of Thailand cancelled the remaining league season on 14 October 2016, with three rounds remaining. Muangthong United were therefore crowned champions with BBCU, Chainat and Army United relegated. The 2018 Thai League 2 is the 21st season of the Thai League 2, the second-tier professional league for Thailand's association football clubs, since its establishment in 1997, also known as M-150 Championship due to the sponsorship deal with M-150. Thai League 2 ( th, ไทยลีก 2), commonly known as the T2, formally called Thai Division 1 League, is the second-tier professional league in the Thai football league system. The top 3 are promoted to Thai League 1 at the end of the season, whilst four are relegated to Thai League 3. For the 2008 season, the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) reduced the number of teams in the league to 16 teams. Previously there had been two groups of 12 clubs. For the 2011 season the number of teams was increased to 18 teams, The Thai Division 1 League is a season run from March to October, with teams playing 34 games each totalling 306 games in the season. AFC U-17 Championship
The AFC U-17 Asian Cup, formerly known as the AFC U-16 Championship and AFC U-17 Championship, is a football competition, organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) held once every two years for Asian under-17 teams that also serves as a qualification tournament for the FIFA U-17 World Cup. The top 4 countries qualify to participate in the FIFA U-17 World Cup. Up to 2000, the tournament was for U-16 teams. Between 2002 and 2006 it was held as an under-17 tournament. Between 2008 and 2020, it was switched back to a U-16 Championship. The AFC have proposed switching back to an under-17 tournament starting from 2023. Kor Royal Cup ( th, ถ้วยพระราชทาน ก. ; ถ้วย ก.), known as the Yai Cup ( th, ถ้วยใหญ่) until 1963, was the highest level of club football competition which competed in the tournament in Thailand from 1916 to 1995. It was founded by the Football Association of Thailand in 1916. Department of Performing Arts was the first team that won this competition. In 1996, Thai League 1 was formed by the Football Association of Thailand to act as the top professional football league in place of Kor Royal cup. 2007 Thailand Premier League
The 2007 Thai Premier League had 16 teams, combining the 12 member clubs from the 2006 season, the top two clubs from Division 1, and two clubs from the Pro League 1. The official name of the league at this time was Thailand Premier League. Matches were normally played on Saturdays with a 4pm kick off time but there were some 5pm or 6pm started and some midweek fixtures. Evening kick offs were rare. The season would have a three-month break from mid-May to mid-August because of the Asian Cup which was being co-hosted by Thailand from July 7–29 and the world university games, the Universiade, in Bangkok from August 8–18. Normally only the Premier League champions are allowed to take part in the AFC Champions League.
