Teddy Dupay
Teddy Dupay was a basketball player. He played for coach Billy Donovan's Florida Gators men's basketball team, and had a career marred by injuries. Dupay is one of the most decorated high school players in the history of Florida prep basketball. He set the scoring record at the time with 3,744 points at Mariner. Florida Gators Men's Basketball
The Florida Gators men's basketball team represents the University of Florida in the sport of basketball. The Gators compete in NCAA Division I's Southeastern Conference (SEC). Home games are played in the O'Connell Center, Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center on the university's Gainesville, Florida campus. While the University of Florida's men's basketball team first took the court in 1915, the program did not receive much support from the university for several decades. Billy Donovan
William John Donovan Jr. (born May 30, 1965) is an American professional basketball coach and former player. He has served as head coach of the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA) since September 2020 after previously coaching the Oklahoma City Thunder from 2015 to 2020. Before moving to the NBA, he served as the head basketball coach at the University of Florida from 1996 to 2015, and led his Florida Gator teams to back-to-back NCAA championships in 2006 and 2007, as well as an NCAA championship appearance in 2000. Donovan was born and raised in Rockville Centre on Long Island, New York, where he played basketball at St. Agnes Cathedral High School. The 1998 McDonald's All-American Boys Game was an All-star basketball game played on Wednesday, March 25, 1998 at the Norfolk Scope in Norfolk, Virginia. The game's rosters featured the best and most highly recruited high school boys graduating in 1998. The game was the 21st annual version of the McDonald's All-American Game first played in 1978. 1998 game The game was telecast live by ESPN for the first time (CBS was the previous telecaster). Korleone Young participated in the dunk contest but a preexisting injury prevented him to play in the game. The game saw many dunks, something usual for all-star games, and several 3-point shots.
