Tedcastles Oil Products, Ltd. (TOP) is an Irish petrol company founded in 1960 which trades under the brand name "TOP". Before a rebranding in 1998, the company traded as "Tedcastle's Oil". Top Oil is a medium-sized Irish distributor of petroleum fuels. The Tedcastle Group was acquired by Irving Oil of Canada in 2018. Petrol stations The company operates petrol stations mainly outside Dublin. It has over 205 locations nationwide ( 25 of them are company owned). In 2010, Top Oil acquired a fuel company in Galway called Sweeney Oil, out of receivership for a nominal purchase price . Inver () is a small village in County Donegal, Ireland. It lies on the N56 National secondary road midway between Killybegs to the west and Donegal Town to the east. It is also a civil parish in the historic barony of Banagh. History Inver is sometimes known as the hidden jewel of the northwest. Inver was an important whaling post in Ireland. Certa Ireland (formerly Emo) is an Irish oil distribution brand that is based in Portlaoise, Ireland. The Certa Ireland brand is owned by DCC Plc which also has operations in Northern Ireland and Great Britain. DCC Oil Ireland, which included the brand Emo rebranded as Certa in September 2022. Operations in the Republic of Ireland Certa Ireland operates out of several regional depots and petrol filling stations throughout the Republic of Ireland.
