Ted Thurston
Ted Thurston (January 9, 1917 – July 23, 1994) was an American actor and singer. Born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Thurston made his Broadway debut in the short-lived 1951 musical ''Flahooley''. He had better luck with his next show, the Lerner and Loewe musical '' Paint Your Wagon''. Additional Broadway credits include '' Kismet'', ''The Happiest Girl in the World'', ''The Girl in Pink Tights'', ''The Most Happy Fella'', ''Li'l Abner'', ''I Had a Ball'', ''Luther'', ''Gantry'', ''Onward Victoria'', and perhaps his best-known role, Edgar Allan Rich in '' Celebration''. Thurston reprised his ''Li'l Abner'' role in the film version. Thurston was married to dancer/choreographer Dania Krupska. ''Celebration'' is a musical with a book and lyrics by Tom Jones and music by Harvey Schmidt. The musical fable, employing a nearly bare stage, explores the contrasts between youth and old age, innocence and jaded corruption, love and ambition, and poverty and wealth. It was presented on Broadway in 1969 and was not a financial success. Although the critics found the show interesting, it did not develop a broad following among audiences. The Town of East Hampton is located in southeastern Suffolk County, New York, at the eastern end of the South Shore of Long Island. It is the easternmost town in the state of New York. Stomach Cancer
Stomach cancer, also known as gastric cancer, is a cancer that develops from the lining of the stomach. Most cases of stomach cancers are gastric carcinomas, which can be divided into a number of subtypes, including gastric adenocarcinomas. Lymphomas and mesenchymal tumors may also develop in the stomach. Early symptoms may include heartburn, upper abdominal pain, nausea, and loss of appetite. Dania Krupska
Dania Krupska (August 13, 1921 – August 27, 2011) was an American dancer and choreographer. Krupska was born in Fall River, Massachusetts in August 1921. She originally trained for the ballet and began her professional career in the 1930s in such companies as the Philadelphia Ballet. She made her Broadway debut in the original cast of Agnes de Mille's ''Oklahoma!'' (1943), later taking over the role of Dream Laurey (which she also performed on tour). She quickly became one of de Mille's regular assistant choreographers, working on ''Allegro'' (1947), '' Gentlemen Prefer Blondes'' (1949), '' Out of This World'' (1950), and ''The Girl in Pink Tights'' (1954). Krupska also assisted de Mille on the ballet ''Fall River Legend'' (1948); de Mille's insistence that Krupska be allowed to dance one performance as Lizzie Borden led to an explosive quarrel with Alicia Alonso, unbeknownst to Krupska herself.
