Ted LeFevre
Ted LeFevre (born July 8, 1964) is an American theatrical set designer. Early life He was born in Wilmington, Delaware, and has worked in and around New York City since 1990. In the early 2000's, he designed the sets for ''Anything Goes'', ''Cabaret'', '' 42nd Street'' and ''Singin' in the Rain'' at the Trump Plaza Hotel in Atlantic City, as well as a revue of Stevie Wonder's songs for the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas starring Chaka Khan and directed by Billy Porter. Career Ted has Art Directed for television in New York since 2010, for Hulu's Wu-Tang: An American Saga, Fox's Prodigal Son and Us & Them, CBS' Evil, Elementary and A Gifted Man, NBC's Shades of Blue and Mercy, FX's Louie, Starz' Power, USA's Royal Pains, and DirecTV's Damages. Set Designer
Scenic design (also known as scenography, stage design, or set design) is the creation of theatrical, as well as film or television scenery. Scenic designers come from a variety of artistic backgrounds, but in recent years, are mostly trained professionals, holding B.F.A. or M.F.A. degrees in theatre arts. Scenic designers create sets and scenery that aim to support the overall artistic goals of the production. John Doyle (director)
John Doyle (born 1952) is a Scottish stage director of musicals and plays, as well as operas. He served as artistic director at several regional theatres in the United Kingdom, where he staged more than 200 professional productions during his career spanning over 40 years. In 2005, he directed a Broadway revival of the musical '' Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street'', in a minimalist production in which the cast served as its own orchestra, for which he won the Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical. His 2006 Broadway revival of the musical ''Company'' won the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical. On The Town (musical)
''On the Town'' is a musical with music by Leonard Bernstein and book and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, based on Jerome Robbins' idea for his 1944 ballet ''Fancy Free'', which he had set to Bernstein's music. The musical introduced several popular and classic songs, among them "New York, New York", " Lonely Town", "I Can Cook, Too" (for which Bernstein also wrote the lyric), and "Some Other Time". The story concerns three American sailors on a 24-hour shore leave in New York City during World War II, 1944. Each of the three sailors meets and quickly connects with a woman. ''On the Town'' was first produced on Broadway in 1944 and was made into a film in 1949, although the film replaced all but four of the original Broadway numbers with Hollywood-written substitutes. ''Gigi'' is a musical with a book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe. It is based on the 1944 novella '' Gigi'' by Colette and 1958 hit musical film of the same name. The story concerns Gigi, a free-spirited teenaged girl living in Paris at the turn of the 20th century. She is being groomed as a courtesan in her family's tradition. Before she is deemed ready for her social debut, she encounters the ''bon vivant'' bachelor Gaston Lachaille, whom she captivates as she is transformed into a charmingly poised young lady. Surflight Theatre
The Surflight Theatre, is a beach-side theatre located in the community of Beach Haven, New Jersey, on Long Beach Island on the Jersey Shore. Surflight produces up to nine mainstage theatrical productions per season, children's theatre, a comedy and concert series, Surflight-To-Go Touring Educational Theatre and The Show Place Ice Cream Parlour. After being closed in 2015 the Surflight Theatre reopened in June 2017 under the ownership of Al Parinello whose offer for purchase was accepted by TD Bank in early 2017. It currently successfully operates seasonally. With the COVID-19 pandemic it continues to operate in full compliance with CDC and State of NJ guidelines. Bronx Opera (BxO) is an opera company in the Bronx, New York. It was founded in 1967 by artistic director and music director, the conductor Michael Spierman. The company is a member of the New York Opera Alliance. The company performs two operas a year, one lesser known work, and an opera from the standard repertoire. All productions are sung in English with full orchestra and chorus. Additionally, the company presents concerts of opera excerpts throughout the year. The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park is a regional theatre in the United States. It was founded in 1959 by college student Gerald Covell and was one of the first regional theatres in the United States.
