Tecnam P-Volt
The Tecnam P-Volt is an Italian light electric aircraft that was under development by Tecnam in conjunction with Rolls-Royce. On 13 June 2023 the company announced it was suspending development of the P-Volt due to battery technological limitations. Design and development The P-Volt was developed from the Tecnam P2012 Traveller as a nine passenger short-haul aircraft suitable for commuter airline use. Like the Traveller, it was to have a high wing layout with fixed tricycle landing gear. Rolls-Royce was developing the electric power train and the aircraft was projected to have a range of 85 nautical miles per charge. An electric aircraft is an aircraft powered by electricity. Electric aircraft are seen as a way to reduce the environmental effects of aviation, providing zero emissions and quieter flights. Tecnam P2012 Traveller
The Tecnam P2012 Traveller is an eleven-seat utility aircraft designed and manufactured by the Italian company Costruzioni Aeronautiche Tecnam, based in Capua, Italy, near Naples. In 2009, Cape Air, a commuter airline based in Massachusetts, asked Tecnam for a new aircraft meeting their needs. The project was publicly revealed in April 2011. In November 2015, Cape Air signed a letter of intent to order 100 aircraft. On 21 July 2016, the first prototype performed its maiden flight. Flight Plan
Flight plans are documents filed by a pilot or flight dispatcher with the local Air Navigation Service Provider (e.g. the FAA in the United States) prior to departure which indicate the plane's planned route or flight path. Flight plan format is specified in ICAO Doc 4444. They generally include basic information such as departure and arrival points, estimated time en route, alternate airports in case of bad weather, type of flight (whether instrument flight rules FRor visual flight rules FR, the pilot's information, number of people on board, and information about the aircraft itself.
