''Tecmo Classic Arcade'' is a collection of classic Tecmo arcade games for the Microsoft Xbox. This collection was released on September 13, 2005 in the U.S., October 21, 2005 in Europe and October 27, 2005 in Japan, and contains all of the games that ''Tecmo Hit Parade'' (a similar collection released on the PlayStation 2 exclusively in Japan) includes along with four more games. , was a Japanese video game corporation founded in 1967. It had its headquarters in Kudankita, Chiyoda, Tokyo, Chiyoda, Tokyo. Its subsidiary, Tecmo Inc, was located in Torrance, California. Strato Fighter
''Strato Fighter'', otherwise known as ''Raiga: Strato Fighter'', is a 1991 video arcade game developed by Tecmo. It is a horizontally scrolling shooter in which two players may play simultaneously. The game sets players in the year 2135 on a mission to save the Earth from colony-based, militant alien invaders using the MB-OG Raiga (Thunder Fang). Gameplay The Raiga has the ability to spin around to attack enemies from behind. Power-ups can be obtained by destroying container ships. The craft's weapons include the Shotgun, Ion launcher, Vertical, Homing Missiles and Bomb attacks along with items such as Speed Ups, Shields and Extends. The spacecraft can also obtain an Option weapon called the Auto Guard; three types of Auto Guards were available such as the target locking Beam Rifle, the powerful Solid Shooter and the standard Blaster item. Tehkan World Cup
originally released as in Japan, is an association football video game released to arcades in 1985 by Tehkan, the former name of Tecmo. It features multiplayer gameplay and trackball controllers. It was released in both upright and table arcade cabinets, but was most commonly released in a cocktail cabinet form factor. Its arrival coincided with the buildup to the 1986 FIFA World Cup. It featured the then colors of several of the world's top teams such as West Germany, Argentina and Brazil, although it did not mention any team by name. The game uses a bird's-eye view, with the trackball controls allowing game physics such as controlling both the direction and speed of the shot. is an List of American football video games, American football video game developed and released by Tecmo. Originally released as an arcade game in 1987, the game features a large dual screen arcade cabinet, cabinet with up to four players between two fictitious teams. A Porting, port for the Nintendo Entertainment System was released in 1989 and was the first console game to include real National Football League players, via a license from the National Football League Players Association, NFL Players Association. A Game Boy version developed by Sculptured Software followed in 1991. The NES version was extremely popular, spawning various sequels, starting with 1991's ''Tecmo Super Bowl''. The gameplay involves swimming up a river while avoiding logs and various marine life. Gameplay The player collects fruit to score points and power up to knock enemies out. Star Force
also released in arcades outside of Japan as ''Mega Force'', is a vertical-scrolling shooter computer game released in 1984 by Tehkan. Gameplay In the game, the player pilots a starship called the ''Final Star'', while shooting various enemies and destroying enemy structures for points. Unlike later vertical scrolling shooters, like Toaplan's ''Twin Cobra'', the ''Final Star'' had only two levels of weapon power and no secondary weapons like missiles and/or bombs. Each stage in the game was named after a letter of the Greek alphabet. In certain versions of the game, there is an additional level called "Infinity" (represented by the infinity symbol) which occurs after Omega, after which the game repeats indefinitely.
