Techspardha
Techspardha is the annual techno-managerial festival of National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra. It started in 1995 as "Technospect" (later changed to Literati). The year 2013 marked the Golden Jubilee of NIT Kurukshetra, thus it was renamed as Techspardha. Etymologically, the word ‘Techspardha’ is composed of two words, ‘Tech’ in English is a contraction of technology and ‘Spardha’ in Hindi means competition. Techspardha is known for hosting a variety of events that include competitions, exhibitions, guest lectures as well as workshops. History and Growth Events & Activities Students are provided with an opportunity to showcase their skills and talents in a wide spectrum of events which test not only the technical know-how, but also managerial and soft skills. The events are aimed to encourage students to come out of textbooks and apply their knowledge in a real-life setup. NIT Kurukshetra
National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra (NIT Kurukshetra or NITKKR) is a public technical and research university located in Kurukshetra. In December 2008, it was accredited with the status of Institute of National Importance (INI). It is one of the 30 National Institutes of Technology established and administered by Government of India. It runs undergraduate and postgraduate in programme Engineering and Doctor of Philosophy programme in Engineering, Sciences and Humanities. History The first Prime Minister of independent India, Jawaharlal Nehru, sought to develop India as a leader in science and technology. National Institutes Of Technology
The National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are the central government-owned-public technical institutes under the ownership of Ministry of Education, Government of India. They are governed by the National Institutes of Technology, Science Education and Research Act, 2007, which declared them as institutions of national importance and lays down their powers, duties, and framework for governance. In 2019, first IIEST was added under Council oNITSER The act lists thirty-two NITs. The oldest NIT is now IIEST Shibpur. Each NIT is autonomous, linked to the others through a common council known as the Council of NITSER, which oversees their administration and all NITs are funded by the Government of India. Kurukshetra (, ) is a city and administrative headquarter of Kurukshetra district in the Indian state of Haryana.
