Technocrat (comics)
Technocrat is a superhero in the DC Comics and a former member of the Outsiders. His first appearance was in '' Outsiders Alpha'' (vol. 2) #1 (November 1993), written by Mike W. Barr and drawn by Paul Pelletier. Baron nicknamed "TC" was portrayed by Christopher A'mmanuel starting in the third season of the live action Arrowverse series ''Black Lightning''. Fictional character biography Markovia An inventor and business magnate, Geoffrey Barron came to Markovia to sell his battle armor, the Technocrat 2000, the latest in personal defense gear (in 1993). Barron was accompanied by his bodyguard Charlie Wylde. During their stay in Markovia, the Outsiders were framed for the murder of Markovia's Queen Ilona. Barron and Wylde were forced to flee into the woods alongside the Outsiders. While in the woods the pair encountered the sorcerer Sebastian Faust and his pet bear. Jefferson "Jeff" Pierce, also known by his alter ego Black Lightning, is a fictional character in The CW's Arrowverse franchise, first introduced in the 2018 episode " The Resurrection" of the television series ''Black Lightning''. The character is based on the DC Comics character of the same name, created by Tony Isabella and Trevor Von Eeden, and was adapted for television in 2018 by Salim Akil. Jefferson Pierce has been continually portrayed by Cress Williams, with Kaden Washington Lewis portraying a young Jefferson. In the series, Jefferson, is the principal of the Garfield High School, and a retired vigilante, who lives in Freeland. His powers are many, with electrokinesis, energy absorption and superhuman strength being a few. A polymath ( el, πολυμαθής, , "having learned much"; la, homo universalis, "universal human") is an individual whose knowledge spans a substantial number of subjects, known to draw on complex bodies of knowledge to solve specific problems. In DC Comics' DC Universe, a metahuman is a human with superpowers. The term is roughly synonymous with both ''mutant'' and ''mutate'' in the Marvel Universe and '' posthuman'' in the Wildstorm and Ultimate Marvel Universes. In DC Comics, the term is used loosely in most instances to refer to any human-like being with extranormal powers and abilities, either cosmic, mutant, science, mystic, skill or tech in nature. A significant portion of these are normal human beings born with a genetic variant called the "metagene", which causes them to gain powers and abilities during freak accidents or times of intense psychological distress.
