Tech-Speed Motorsport
Tech-Speed Motorsport is a British auto racing team who compete in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) and various historic race categories which was founded in 1984. The team races under the name of M247 Racing. MGF Cup - Tech-Speed Motorsport ran two cars for 3 years in the MGF Cup from 1998 to the end of 2000 when run and supported by the manufacturer, this was a very competitive one make series and Tech-Speed ran with drivers Nick Carr and Paul O'Neil with many podium finishes. British Touring Car Championship During the early 1990s, Tech-Speed built and prepared various BMW M3 racing cars for teams in the championship, before withdrawing to compete in club-level racing due to the manufacturer dominance during the Super Touring era. The team returned to the championship in 2001 to run two Peugeot 306 GTi in the BTC-Production class for Paul O'Neill and Annie Templeton. Martyn Bell
Martyn Bell (born 17 July 1964) is an auto racing driver. Since 2006 he has contested the British Touring Car Championship, but he spent the majority of his career racing BMWs in various championships. He won one overall title and 3 class titles in his 9 years of driving BMWs for Geoff Steel (himself a former BTCC racer) and was the first person to campaign a BMW E46 in the UK. In 2006 he and Steel moved into the British Touring Car Championship in a 320i. He returned for the 2007 BTCC season with the same car under the team allaboutproperty.com Team banner. Super 2000 is an FIA powertrain specification used in the World Rally Championship, the British Touring Car Championship, the World Touring Car Championship, and other touring car championships. The engines were originally 2 L naturally aspirated, and later being also allowed 1.6 L turbocharged units producing approximately 280 bhp. The goal of the Super 2000 classification is to allow more manufacturers and privateers to race by reducing the cost of a competitive car. In order to cut costs and shorten development time, the Super 2000 rally cars originally used a common control gearbox and drivetrain made by a French company, Sadev. John George (born 22 March 1961) is a Cornish mobile phone entrepreneur and race car driver, best known for driving in the British Touring Car Championship. Erkut Kızılırmak (born 14 September 1969) is an auto racing driver from Turkey. He started racing in rallying in 1992 and switched to touring cars in 2002, at the age of 32. In 2005 he won the Turkish Touring Car Championship, in a Vauxhall Astra Coupé formerly raced by Yvan Muller in the BTCC.
