Team Rezofficial
Team Rezofficial was a Canadian aboriginal hip hop group (primarily Cree from First Nations surrounding Hobbema, Alberta). Founded by former members of War Party, the group included musicians Karmen "Hellnback" Omeasoo, Drezus (Jeremiah Manitopyes), Jay Mak, Big Stomp, Lakes Aqui, Tomislav Milardovic and Big Slim. History The Group was formed in 2003. Their first album ''The Foundation'' won the Canadian Aboriginal Music Award for Best Rap / Hip-Hop album in 2004. In 2005 and 2009 the group was nominated for a Western Canadian Music Award and in 2007 they were nominated for an Aboriginal Peoples' Choice Award and another Canadian Aboriginal Music Award. Maskwacis
Maskwacis (; cr, ᒪᐢᑿᒌᐢ, ), renamed in 2014 from Hobbema (), is an unincorporated community in central Alberta, Canada at intersection of Highway 2A and Highway 611, approximately south of the City of Edmonton. The community consists of two Cree First Nations communities – one on the Ermineskin 138 reserve to the north and the other on the Samson 137 reserve to the south. It also consists of an adjacent hamlet within Ponoka County. The community also serves three more nearby First Nations reserves including Samson 137A to the south, Louis Bull 138B to the northwest, and Montana 139 to the south. The area was originally known as Maskwacis, and Father Constantine Scollen always referred to it as "Bear Hills" when he attempted to re-establish a Catholic mission there, in late 1884 and 1885, around the time that he and Chief Bobtail succeeded in persuading the young men not to join the North-West Rebellion. Much Music
Much (an abbreviation for its full name MuchMusic) is a Canadian English language specialty channel owned by BCE Inc. through its Bell Media subsidiary that airs programming aimed at teenagers and young adults. MuchMusic launched on August 31, 1984, under the ownership of CHUM Limited, and was originally focused on music programming, including blocks of music videos and original series focusing on Canadian musicians. In the years since its acquisition by Bell, Much has cancelled the majority of its music programming due to budget and staffing cuts. The channel's full name was retired in 2013 in reflection of its decreasing reliance on music-related programming. The Juno Awards of 2009 honoured music industry achievements in Canada in the latter part of 2007 and in most of 2008. These ceremonies were held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada during the weekend ending 29 March 2009. Loverboy was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, and Sarah McLachlan received the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award. Long-time broadcast executive Fred Sherratt, a former CHUM Limited executive, received the Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award. Events Preliminary award-related events began on 26 March 2009. RapCity
''RapCity'' is a Canadian television program that airs on the MuchMusic cable channel. It is not to be confused with the American TV show of the same name, ''Rap City''. The show features a selection of the newest and vintage music videos from Canadian hip hop and American hip hop artists. RapCity began several years after MuchMusic first went on the air in 1984, and is still in existence. The program was created by director/producer Michele Geister after petitioning to Programme Director John Martin that a hip hop show was overdue for the Canadian market as well as the music channel's credibility. Music enthusiast, club DJ, Geister began her MuchMusic career as a master control operator then editor.
