Team Halfords Bikehut
Team Halfords Bikehut was a 2008 UCI elite women's cycling team based in the United Kingdom. The team was formed in January 2008 with Dave Brailsford, performance director of British Cycling, the general manager. It had been a pro/national team mooted as the first full British professional women's team but there were two men in the team ( Rob Hayles and Tom Southam). The team was in 2009 not an UCI Women's Teams anymore and consisted of a mix of mountain bikers and road racers (mainly men): Rob Hayles, Ed Clancy, Ian Wilkinson, Andy Tennant, Mark McNally, Rob Partridge, Seb Batchelor, David Fletcher, Annie Last, Sharon Laws, Ian Bibby. The team disbanded ahead of the 2010 season, with a number of riders moving to the Scottish-based Endura Racing team. The team helped train some of the UK's medal-winning cyclists such as Nicole Cooke, who said: "Setting up Team Halfords was crucial to my success,". Team roster Ages as of 1 January 2008.

Dave Brailsford
Sir David John Brailsford (born 29 February 1964) is a British cycling coach. He was formerly performance director of British Cycling and is currently general manager of UCI WorldTeam . Early life Brailsford was born in Shardlow, Derbyshire, and moved as a toddler with his parents and siblings to Deiniolen, near Caernarfon in Wales: He attended Ysgol Deiniolen and Ysgol Brynrefail, and learned Welsh. In 1984 he gave up his job as an apprentice draughtsman with the local highways department to travel to France, where he raced for four years as a sponsored amateur for a team based in Saint-Étienne. Mark Thomas McNally (born 20 July 1989) is a British former professional road and track racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2009 and 2018 for four different professional teams. He now works as a directeur sportif for UCI Continental team . Biography McNally was born in Fazakerley, Liverpool. He took up cycling after watching the 2000 Summer Olympics on television. Wendy Louise Houvenaghel (née McLean; born 27 November 1974) is a Northern Irish former racing cyclist from Upperlands, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland, riding on both the road and track, but specialising in the latter. She has represented Great Britain in various World Cycling Championships and in the 2008 Olympic Games, most notably winning the silver medal at the Beijing Olympic Games, and gold in the team pursuit at the 2008, 2009 and 2011 Track World Championships. Catherine Rachel "Katie" Prankerd (née Curtis; born 1 November 1988) is a Welsh former professional road and track cyclist. Career Born in Cardiff, Prankerd began competing at a young age with the Maindy Flyers children's cycle club before joining Cardiff Ajax. Prankerd set the record for the Tandem Standing Start event on the track along with Alex Greenfield, with a time of 7 minutes 4.424 seconds. Endura Racing () was a British UCI Continental cycling team. Sharon Laws (7 July 1974 – 16 December 2017) was a British professional cyclist and environmental consultant. Early life Laws was born in Nairobi, Kenya, grew up in Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire and lived in Uganda, South Africa, Zimbabwe and the United Kingdom. She gained an MSc in conservation and worked both before and during her cycling career as an environmental consultant to organisations including the British Government, the United Nations and for mining company Rio Tinto in Australia.
