Team Bahrain Victorious () is a UCI WorldTeam cycling team from Bahrain which was founded in 2017. Its title sponsor is the government of Bahrain. History The idea for a Bahrain pro cycling team was started in August 2016 by Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The team is financed by the government of Bahrain to promote the country worldwide. Doping On 5 September 2018, the UCI announced that an out-of-competition test had resulted in an adverse analytical finding of erythropoietin in a sample collected 31 July 2018. Kanstantsin Sivtsov was provisionally suspended pending the result of any B sample test. Road bicycle racing is the cycle sport discipline of road cycling, held primarily on Road surface, paved roads. Erythropoietin
Erythropoietin (; EPO), also known as erythropoetin, haematopoietin, or haemopoietin, is a glycoprotein cytokine secreted mainly by the kidneys in response to cellular hypoxia; it stimulates red blood cell production (erythropoiesis) in the bone marrow. Low levels of EPO (around 10 mU/mL) are constantly secreted in sufficient quantities to compensate for normal red blood cell turnover. Common causes of cellular hypoxia resulting in elevated levels of EPO (up to 10 000 mU/mL) include any anemia, and hypoxemia due to chronic lung disease. Nikias Arndt (born 18 November 1991) is a German professional track and road cyclist, who rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Arndt rode for between 2010 and 2012, before joining the team for the 2013 season. He achieved his first professional victory at the 2013 Arctic Race of Norway, winning the third stage, en route to finishing third overall behind Thor Hushovd and Kenny van Hummel. Yukiya Arashiro
is a Japanese road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Born in Ishigaki, Okinawa Prefecture, Arashiro was the Japanese Under-23 National Time Trial and Road Race Champion in 2005. He has also won the Japanese National Road Race Championships three times, in 2007, 2013 and 2022. In 2009 he was selected by his team to ride the Tour de France. Along with Fumiyuki Beppu, he was the first Japanese national to complete that race, as on prior occasions Kisso Kawamuro and Daisuke Imanaka had started, but not finished, the race.
