Team Astromega
Team Astromega was a racing team from Belgium, headquartered in Heist-op-den-Berg and created in 1995 by Mikke Van Hool. The team competed in A1 Grand Prix and Formula Renault 1.6 Belgium. History Team Astromega was created in 1995 by Belgian International Formula 3000 driver Mikke Van Hool, who wanted to drive in his own team. Since 1996, Sam Boyle has been the team manager. In 2003, Werner Gillis, an expert in financial management, became co-team owner. The same year, Robby Arnott joined the team as chief engineer after working with DAMS racing team. In 2003, a Belgian Formula Renault 1.6 championship was created and Astromega was selected to organise the technical assistance for the series rookie test with assistance of two drivers from normal and Indoor Karting. Later, in the 2006 championship, Astromega ran a car with British driver Craig Dolby who became champion. A1 Grand Prix
A1 Grand Prix (A1GP) was a "single-make" open-wheel auto racing series that ran from 2005 until 2009. It was unique in its field in that competitors solely represented their nation as opposed to themselves or a team, the usual format in most formula racing series. As such, it was often promoted as the "World Cup of Motorsport". The series was ratified by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), and races were held in the traditional Formula One off-season, the northern hemisphere winter. 2006–07 A1 Grand Prix Season
The 2006–07 A1 Grand Prix season was the second season for the A1 Grand Prix series. It began on 1 October 2006, at Circuit Park Zandvoort, and the season ended at Brands Hatch on 29 April 2007. A1 Team Germany won it with 128 points, 35 points lead ahead Team New Zealand. Teams 24 teams, each representing a different country, signed up for the second A1 Grand Prix season. All teams and drivers competed in Zytek-powered, Cooper Avon-shod and Lola A1GP chassis. Soheil Ayari (born 5 April 1970) is a Iranians in France, French-Iranian race car driving, driver born in Aix-les-Bains, Savoie, from an Iranian father and a French mother. 1997 International Formula 3000 Season
The 1997 International Formula 3000 season was the thirty-first season of the second-tier of Formula One feeder championship and also thirteenth season under the International Formula 3000 Championship moniker. Marc Goossens, nicknamed The Goose (born 30 November 1969), is a Belgian professional racing driver that currently competes in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, driving the No. 14 Chevrolet Camaro for SpeedHouse in the EuroNASCAR PRO class. Racing career Goossens drove full-time in Formula 3000 from 1994 to 1996 and part-time from 1999 to 2001. In between he drove in endurance races and is a veteran of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Janusz Ryszard Korwin-Mikke (; born 27 October 1942), also known by his initials JKM or simply as Korwin, is a Polish far-right politician, paleolibertarian and author.
